The fan was well packaged, and also included was a thermometer for the stove top. The fan worked straight out of the box when placed on the stove top. The fan spins fast once the fire is up to temp and is silent in operation. There is a detectable movement of air when the fan runs fast but if you are expecting a strong air movement you may be disappointed, the draught created is subtle. I have awarded four stars because the fan is well made, well packaged and operates as described but throws less air than I expected.

The fan blades had gone way out of line without the unit being moved or touched in any way. I have tried to bend them back into line so that we can hopefully get some more use out of it.
