About this item

[Accelerate Heat Flow] The stove fan can dissipate the heat from the wood stove more efficiently and quickly increase the temperature of the whole room.
[No Electricity Required] The log burner fan is driven to rotate by the heat from the stove surface and the temperature controls the speed of its blades. The fan will stop rotating as the stove cools.
[Operating Temperature] It automatically start at 140°F/60°C and will operate optimally at approximately 550°F/280°C. Do not operate the wood stove fan above 662°F/350°C.
[Quiet Operation & Low Noise] This compact stove fan is very quiet when working and will not be noticed in any room, accompanying you to spend a warm and comfortable winter.
[Overheat Protection] A bimetallic strip is built into the bottom of the stove fan. When it reaches 662°F/350°C, the bimetallic strip under the base will raise the front of the fan base to protect the motor.

The unit seems solidly built runs very quietly and is not unattractive, plus it clearly gets good reviews yet… this fan wouldn’t blow a feather over ! With my 5Kw fire at its top temperature and the propeller blades going at full speed, the air movement is minimal. Perhaps reviewers gain ‘comfort’ by seeing the blades turn, but that’s all that’s happening. There is close to zero air movement. I did drop a feather directly in front of the fan - a tiny downy feather - and the air flow pushed it forward by… perhaps an inch ! That’s it. If you placed the fan an inch or so back from the front of your woodburner, the feather wouldn’t even reach the floor, but simply settle on top of the unit.

Perhaps there are better engineered units out there, but I have my doubts. What I appear to have purchased is a fireside ornament ! A Knick-knack. For all the practical use it gives, I may as well have purchased a nodding dog to put by my car’s rear window!

Thank goodness for ��غ��’s return policy, which definitely gets top marks.
