This bag of 60 astaxanthin capsules is made in the UK with GMP certification and no added fillers or binders so you can be confident that these are good quality. They are also GMO & gluten free and are suitable for vegans. Astaxanthin is an antioxidant claimed to be 6000 times more potent than vitamin C and is thought to have a lot of health benefits. It is a fat soluble antioxidant so best taken with food.

In use, the bag of red coloured capsules has a slight odour that reminds me of beetroot. The dosage is 1 tablet twice per day, once with breakfast and one with your evening meal, giving a total daily dosage of 20mg and at this rate the bag will last for 30 days. Some health providers say that you should only take up to 12mg per day so it would be feasible to half the dose to one capsule per day and extend the supply to 60 days.

Overall these are a good quality UK manufactured high dose astaxathin supplement and I'd happily get them again.

As yet, I’ve neither seen nor felt any difference upon taking this Astaxanthin product; (in-addition to the 10mg that I already consume on a daily basis) but it could take 6-8-weeks to notice any positive improvements from this additional daily intake. Unfortunately, as I am reviewing this item; I am obliged-to deliver a review earlier than expected, regardless of these factors.

What I can say is, is that there’s no noticeable improvement or change in either my health or appearance; whereas there was when I started taking Astaxanthin from scratch many years ago, but that I also didn’t suffer from any adverse effects upon consuming this product.

Upon opening the packet, there was a stale odour; but that’s just the algae, and you shouldn’t notice any taste or aftertaste upon consuming this product, as long as you consume it with sufficient amounts of water. It was just a little off-putting at the beginning, as my current 10mg Astaxanthin (from a premium brand manufacturer) has always been enclosed within a sealed soft-gel because it contains ‘absorption’ oils within the casing; and that’s why I don’t normally notice the aforementioned odour, at all. Also, encasing the Astaxanthin in oils, (rapeseed, sunflower, safflower, extra virgin olive oil etc.) also adds absorption of the Astaxanthin, as well as the anti-odour factor. But as I say, the initial odour issue is ‘not’ an issue; but the absorption difference might be a factor as to why nothing ‘even more positive’ is happening.

Maybe 10mg was enough, or maybe this isn’t doing anything, as I’ve been taking 2 x 10mg of these; (in-addition to my current 10mg) and there’s still no change.

So, I was hoping that this cheaper alternative would be as beneficial as my current Astaxanthin; but as yet, it isn’t. If anything changes, I’ll update this review.

I already take Astaxanthin and feel it is beneficial for me personally as an antioxidant. Of course it is up to individuals to decide if it is right for them.
I have used supplements from this brand before, and found them to be of good quality. They are manufactured in the UK in a facility which adopts GMP ((good manufacturing protocols) The serving size is one or two capsules daily in a divided dose.
Each capsule contains 10mg of Astaxanthin and there are no added fillers or binders. There is 60 capsules in the resealable package.
I am happy to take these as part of my daily routine.

I have found capsules and tablets where there is more of the active ingredient but the price was higher so you were not saving money by choosing those instead. Astaxanthin is a very natural product which comes from the sea. It can help you in many different ways (google it). This one does not taste, is reasonably priced for what you get.
