I really like this Bissell machine. I’ve always had the Vax small machine before. But after two Vax machines developing the same issue with pump failure after two or so years I’ve given up with Vax and thought I would try a different brand. The Vax has powerful suction and this Bissell machine has the same powerful suction so I’m really pleased with that.
I liked this Bissell machine for its light weight and because it’s smaller then the Vax. It does as good a job as the Vax. The Bissell spray is as good as the Vax if not better. As with the Vax it had a larger spray area. This caused it to wet outside the area you we’re actually treating. This machine is much more concentrated to the area being treated.
The Bissell comes with lots of bits to clip in. Such as one for the cable and plug. Which works out ok. However there is also an extra round brush with a container. And an extra fitting for it that you clip in. I found this larger brush just frustrating and pointless. Also the clip in fitting just makes the machine more bulky then necessary. So I’ve abandoned these items to the back of my broom cupboard. They will probably live there until the machine dies and be thrown out with the dead machine when that day comes.
There are two bottles of Bissell solution that come with the machine also. This is really useful as you can then buy the larger bottle and use the small bottle to top up. This makes it so easy when carrying the small machine and smaller bottle to where it’s needed for use.
I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend. The only negatives are the extra parts that I found unnecessary but which can be removed. Also the clean and dirty water takes are really easy to remove which is great but the dirty water tank rubber stopper is very small and a little hard to open and close.
