This high borosilicate glass jug can be frozen in refrigerators and even heated in an electric pottery stove or over an open flame.
High-quality material - The body of Baffect Water Pitcher is made from high borosilicate glass to bear instant temperature changes. This glass jug also includes a 304 stainless steel lid with a food-grade silicone ring, allowing you to store and enjoy your homemade iced juice with confidence. As for cleaning, just rinse the lid and wash the glass jug with the attached 25 cm long sponge cleaning brush. As mentioned to the seller the jug is fine persay. Having followed the instructions supplied I filled the jug with water and left overnight. Next day there were no leaks so I washed it in warm soapy water and dried it. To my disappointment the gold coloured covering for the top had simply rubbed off around the rim, about 2 inches, so clearly after a couple more washes the lid will have no colour at all. Not the best quality. My reason for the purchase was to get a jug that would hold around 1.5 to 2 litres of liquid and fit into the fridge door so from that poiunt of view it's fine. All I would say to the manufacturer is "Please don't try to glam this product up with a cheap coating on the lid, just leave it natural and then you might just get 5 stars all round".
