The stand is well made and sturdy and arrived on time. My reason for the less than maximum rating, is due to the fact that the locking straps attach to one side of each of the top support arm. The relating mounting points on my keyboard are central and so with the twist in the strap, the keyboard can move substantially on the stand if it gets knocked and topple the stand over.
The stand is good and well made, so to correct my problem, I removed the rivet holding the loop in the locking strap and made the loop larger so that it fitted around the centre of the top support arm before screwing the support arms in place. It now fit firmly to the centre of the keyboard and cannot twist. I replaced the rivets on the strap with press stud snap fasteners, so that I can quickly remove or reattach the keyboard to the stand should I need to. I’m now happy with the stand and that the keyboard is secure on it.
