It is very simple to operate, with just the main buttons needed for TV control.
It isn't suitable for use with any set-top boxes - just the TVs. No satellite. No Cable. Just TV.
It is compatible with pretty much all of the big-brand TVs. In my case it works perfectly with LG.
The layout is very clear, with good colour coding. It's obvious how everything works.
There is a nice bright red LED which shows when you have successfully pressed a button.
Batteries are AAA, and you need to supply your own.
There are no programming codes to enter - it scans through all the TV brands in a simple one-time search.
You set the search up with a long press of the Mute + Volume Up buttons, and then watch the TV screen for a volume change. At that moment you see the TV volume change, you press the mute button again, and the search stops on your brand of TV.
It has all the buttons needed for operating my TV. I was worried that the Home button would operate one of the wrong functions, but (at least on LG TVs) it did exactly the right thing. The back key is a necessary addition, as are the curser arrows and the OK button. With those, I can do pretty much anything needed.
It feels light in the hand, and a bit hollow, but there are no imperfections in the finish.
If I'm trying to find any negatives, I would say that the buttons are a little heavy to push.
With elderly relatives, if they have bad arthritis, then they might have difficulty with the force of the push.
I also wonder whether the lack of an input select button might be a problem for some brands. In LG it is OK.
Functionally it is good. Price is fair. Recommended.
