The ZD3 does have HDMI CEC. In HDMI ARC input mode, you can control the ZD3’s volume with your TV remote, but it does not support HDMI EARC.

Does the ZD3 have a built-in headphone amplifier? Does it have an analog input AUX?

No. The ZD3 does not have a built-in headphone amplifier and cannot connect headphones; it also does not support an analog input AUX.

Does the ZD3 support ASIO and WASAPI drivers in Windows 11?

Yes, the ZD3 supports both ASIO and WASAPI drivers in Windows 11.

Can I use the Trigger Out from the ZD3 to control two ZA3 amplifiers?

Yes, you can use a dual 3.5mm male splitter cable to control two ZA3 amplifiers synchronously.

How many Sparkos SS3602 op-amps do I need for the ZD3?

I bought a ZA3 and was very impressed. So much so, I decided I wanted another so that I could run them as Monobloc. This gave me a good reason to buy a ZD3 to use as a DAC/Preamp and utilise the XLR inputs on ZA3's. So I purchased another ZA3 and a ZD3, a couple of XLR leads and WOW.
Over the years I've owned several "Big Brand" hifi's and for clarity, quality and just all round great sound I could not recommend these latest Fosi Audio units anymore highly.
I can only say these are great units and I can't wait to see what Fosi Audio come up with next.... I'll be buying it for sure. Buy one, you wont regret it.

Using this DAC with a Quad amplifier and Electrostatic speakers produces a remarkable soundstage and a sonic experience like no other. It takes me right into the studio with the original performers. I've had several DACs with my system and sent most of them back as they were no better than the mid priced ones I was using. This is on a level of refinement which I've never experienced before. It plays music without any of the distractions which were present before. I can begin to enjoy my music much more and totally forget my system is still there.

It's a lot of fun this DAC. Very musical, very revealing. I listen to a lot of late 70's / early 80's new wave music where, although the original mixes can technically be very good, and I have spent a lot of time collecting the best digital masters I can find, the genre can sometimes get a bit mushy, busy and unclear. Which I suppose is why nobody tests DACs listening to The Stranglers or Killing Joke on YouTube..... but I did, and it's a fine piece of kit.

The DAC presents a very defined tight stereo soundstage that handles spatial information and production layering extremely well. I have already noticed new subtle production elements in music that I've know very well for years because the ZD3 seems to somehow be able to clarify information in the mix.
Most importantly for me, it's really enjoyable to listen to music through, which is what a piece of hi-fi kit should be.

Lo stò testando in questi giorni. Confrontato con un Dac Topping D50iii, vince ,senza dubbi,Fosi , perche suona piu neutro , mentre Topping è sensibilmente piu " sottile" nella zona dei medio bassi . Con un Dac Fiio K11 r2r( anch' esso veramente un buon Dac), siamo lì , Fiio suona un pelo piu " caldo" specie sulla parte vocale. Ma sono sfumature .
Sicuramente a questo prezzo Il Dac Fosi è un ottimo affare, anche considerando la qualità costruttiva veramente ottima. Da valutare la sostituzione degli operazionali, inclusi nella scatola.Non mi metto certo a smontare l' apparecchio,rischiando la garanzia. Sicuramente è un fatto nuovo che un azienda fornisca una customizzazione dell' apparecchio sin da nuovo.

Dieser DAC funktioniert hervorragend. Die vielen digitalen Eingänge decken alle Möglichkeiten ab. Die Bluetooth-Verbindung klappt einwandfrei. Auch die Fernbedienung hat eine ordentliche Reichweite. Das Gerät ist sauber verarbeitet. Man könnte 3 Punkte beanstanden: 1. Das kleine runde Display ist "naja". Es ist auf Entfernung schlecht zu erkennen. 2. Bei der Fernbedienung werden keine Batterien mitgeliefert. 3. Die Bedienungsanleitung gibt es nicht auf Deutsch. Aber hier hilft You Tube weiter. Das alles ist aber "Meckern auf hohem Niveau", deswegen ziehe ich auch keinen Bewertungstern ab. Wichtig ist die technische Funktion. Und die ist einwandfrei. Das Gerät ist absolut zu empfehlen. Dieser DAC ict mein erstes Gerät der Fa. Fosi. Ich werde mir noch den Fosi-Verstärker ZA3 zulegen und die beiden Geräte dann mit XLR-Kabeln verbinden. Das dürfte dann die optimale Kombination werden.
