The hinges were fastened in the wrong place. The parts don’t fit snugly. There is a gap along the roof. Another gap under the roof. Quite flimsy. Made on the cheap. Never again. Made MFI look easy. I should have sent it back but didn’t have the heart to dismantle it after spending so long putting it together.
I've had this in a sheltered spot in my garden for over a year now and realise that I should have waterproofed it. The frame is beginning rot, water enters inside the box (I now cover it with bubble-wrap) and the metal arm has become unattached. As an outdoor frame,I expected it to be be more robust. I imagine it won't last another year.
Main shelf was split and bowed, stapled battens needed re-positioning and reinforcing, pre-drilled screw holes not in the right place, hinges attached to wrong piece (made identifying the correct position difficult). Wood very lightweight and easily split when screwed, whole item did not assemble as a true rectangle. Very flimsy. While I appreciate the partial refund for the broken shelf I still do not consider this value for money. I suggest the seller tries to assemble one as per the instructions!
Ideal for my partner who is gardening with his disability. The instructions could have been a little bit clearer as to how to fit the riser. We actually haven't fitted it as we currently don't need to prop the lid open.
Could have been made of better wood and made more sturdy. I know the price of wood has increased but this made it very weak and flimsy for the price it cost me
What an absolute pile of garbage. Cheap nasty wood, not enough instruction or predrilled holes. Wood split during construction. I can’t be bothered to return it after wasting 2 hours of my life on this. Refund me if you like I’m past caring.....Imagine setting up a business to seek crap like this, unbelievable!
