THIS was to replace a knife I used to have and had been thrown away in error. The knives serrated blade is not too deep or shallow so it cuts and not drags the item your cutting. can cope with very crusty bread warm out of the oven or squishy tomatoes . goes through raw meat like butter. The handle feels good the blade is strong .
I can honestly recommend the knife.

Ordered this knife to use with homemade bread. The knife came in a nice box and was packaged well. It appears to be very well made and has some weight to it, which I was not expecting, but was happy to feel. The blade is very sharp and cuts through a freshly baked loaf of bread with no trouble. The knife comes with a sheath that will help protect yourself from accidental cuts when not in use. This is a very nice knife, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sharp knife to cut bread.

Das Brotmesser kommt gut verpackt mit einem separaten Schutz für die Spitze und Schneide und eignet sich so auch gut als Geschenk.

Es sieht gut aus, der Griff ist aus Holz, das ist aber so fein bearbeitet, das ich es zuerst für Kunststoff gehalten habe, lediglich einige Unregelmäßigkeiten an einer Seite zeigen, dass es aus Holz ist. Normalerweise bevorzuge ich Kunststoffgriffe, weil Holzgriffe in der Spülmaschine leiden, bei einem Brotmesser, das man selten abspülen muss und das man dann auch per Hand waschen kann ist das aber egal.

Es liegt gut in der Hand, vor allem aber hat es eine breite Klinge, die so bei harter Krume sich nicht verbiegt und mit der man auch feine Schnitte durchführen kann ohne das sie schräg abgleitet.

C'est un joli couteau, belle fabrication*, solide, coupe très bien.
Le manche en bois est agréable, c'est confortable dans la main, avec la petite courbure avant la lame pour être bien calé.
La lame est assez épaisse, et entière, avec le bout du manche en acier c'est très joli.
La lame dentelée coupe extrêmement bien.
*sauf 1 mini défaut, on voit un peu une réparation j'imagine avec de la colle qui a été faite
Prix un peu élevé pour un couteau à pain, mais c'est un bel objet.

After reading articles from professional chefs about bread knives, I've followed their advice to buy less expensive ones and discard them when they get dull, since having them re-sharpened is not easy to do at home and expensive to send out. I bake bread once or twice a week, and this knife cut easily through crispy crust without tearing. I also tested it on tomatoes and for slicing medium rare beef roast, all of which turned out great. The fit and finish of the handle and blade are as nice as other expensive cutlery. I like that it comes with a blade protector, because knives like this often get thrown into a drawer and banged around, dulling them quickly. If used, it will keep this sharp for a long time.
