Can’t fault DO ONE COMPANY. 8mm movie converter was a gift but when opened on 2nd April the take up spool was warped. Seller messaged the same day and an immediate replacement was offered, this arrived on 5th April with no requirement to return the original item so all sorted in 3 days. 👏🏻👏🏻
This is an easy to use converter straight from the box, with clear film loading instructions; frame and exposure adjustments can be made before conversion starts. Some care needed when using the control buttons as it is a little ‘front heavy’. The 3” 7”and 9” take up spools are not included in package and if required need to be purchased separately.
A 30yr old 3 minute super 8 movie was successfully converted with no problems, taking approximately 30 minutes. Image is grainy when played back on smart tv but quality on tablet & smart phone is very good.
The results with a 60yr old 200ft standard 8 film were varied, but I think this is probably due to the age and condition of the film.
Good result again with a 40yr old super 8 400ft film, though an annoying squeak developed during this conversion which I’ve attributed to the size of the larger take up spool I had to purchase.
A large stack of reels still waiting to be digitised so only time will tell if the converter is up to the job.
All in all a neat piece of kit.
