Excellent quality tree planting spade. I planted over 200 trees and this spade made the job so much easier than using a normal garden type spade. The long handle reduces back strain and the blade cut into the earth very easily. The narrowed shape of the blade reduces the likelihood of hitting stone, and minimises the opening in the ground which makes heeling the hole closed around the tree quicker and easier.
The spade has a good weight and feels like it will last a long time. The only improvement I would make to the design is to wish for a slightly greater curve in the blade for creating the hole.
The price was exceptional for the quality and compared to other tree planting spades I considered.
