After checking around I read it was worth spending a bit extra on ladders that wouldn't flex under full extension and which were of strong construction. Shelled out for the trade version rather than the domestic and it was well worth it. Not too heavy to lug about but they are big and chunky. Easy to extend and retract with solid locks and useful catches too. Have been up to the very top of the 3rd tier and little or no flex which is amazing. The tread on the rungs is good, but wouldn't use when wet just in case. Overall an excellent pair of ladders, have used them for a flat roof renewal, bay roof repair and guttering jobs and well suited for purpose.

So as I had a babysitter and my wife was home at the weekend I ordered the ladder via ��غ�� Prime on the Thursday morning for next day delivery. It all seemed simple enough... my ��غ�� account said it was arriving on the Friday, right up until I got an email from the Courier to say they were arriving on Monday. I did email ��غ�� straight away, but they didn't seem overly interested or caring and extended my Prime Membership by 1 month for free. I'd rather have had my ladders for the weekend when I had a free schedule to go up on my house roof to do what was an urgent big cleaning and maintenance job of gutters/pigeon nest removal/solar panel cleaning. I don't know when I will be able to do my roof job now. So lousy ��غ�� customer service and not the first time I have experienced this with Prime. What is the point of Prime with products advertised as available for next day delivery when it is not reliable? Seriously considering cancelling my Prime membership.

Onto the ladders which arrived 3 whole days late on the Monday at 3pm.... very good product, and good value for money. Can't fault it. Have had a play with extending them out and putting them back and simple enough to do. Seems to have a very safe locking mechanism for each section. Material quality seems very good to me. The only downside to the ladders, if I can see one and probably being a bit harsh here, is they are a bit heavier than expected when fully extended. The way the weight is spread out you could easily lose control of them and break something or hurt yourself. Definitely use extended with a 2nd person to assist.

I used to do quite a bit ladder work in my previous job so know a good ladder when I see one and this is a great robust ladder. I looked at the 3 part domestic ladder and for another £15 to £20 went for this one. On arrival I set it up to the gutter which is not far of fully extended and it feels very save and doesn’t bounce around when climbing it and I’m just over 14 stone. Closed up it fits easily into my shed and also is light weight so very happy with it.

I bought this for domestic use. It is very stable with almost no flexing when climbing, although at below 90kg, I am not near the limit. I went for a good trade ladder rather than a cheaper domestic one as I find the flexing very off-putting. As I age, I tend to buy higher quality tools, having realised that cheaper equipment is often a false economy, particularly where safety is involved.

The design seems to have changed a little from the model pictured. It isn't blue, just plain aluminium. I did wonder at first if they had delivered the domestic model in error.
