Paddington

Adapted from Michael Bond’s beloved books, PADDINGTON follows the comic misadventures of a polite young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British, who travels to London in search of a home.

Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realise that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kind Brown family, who read the label around his neck (‘Please look after this bear. Thank you.’) and offer him a temporary haven.

But little do the Browns realise just how much comic mayhem one young bear will bring to their family life, and when this rarest of bears catches the eye of a sinister, seductive taxidermist, it isn’t long before his home – and very existence – is under threat.

Produced by David Heyman (The Harry Potter series) PADDINGTON, is a timeless and universal story written and directed by Paul King. With Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington Bear, the film’s all-star cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi and Julie Walters.

The much-anticipated sequel finds Paddington happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens. While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief.

Paddington’s biggest adventure yet sees Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson joining the all-star returning cast of Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi and Ben Whishaw as the voice of the beloved bear.

A must watch.
These films are an absolute must watch for both adults and for children. The second one is just as good as the first which is very rare!I first watched these on Prime Video but couldn't help myself in buying the hard copy. For the price I paid I am really happy with this purchase. They both come together in the same dvd box.If you haven't watched it already them, I suggest you do one rainy afternoon.

    When HRH passed away, the world went into mourning. The positive side was rediscovering Paddington Brown, a little Peruvian bear with lots of gumption and a true heart of gold. As one of HRH's favorite book characters, I was reminded of my childhood fascination with Paddington. Out came the little paperbacks and the stuffy toy. I looked up the live-action films and happily found both Paddington 1 & 2 streaming. I was in love once more, and the animation was superb. The expressions on the faces of the bears are very human, and when Paddington looked up at his Auntie Lucy in the lifeboat as she put the care tag around his neck, I lost my heart. It brought back memories of my brother when he was little. The plot of both films is solid, and the cast is amazing. It's a mixture of well-known actors with some new faces for American fans. I absolutely adored the actress who portrayed Mrs. Brown. Both films are clean and suitable for family viewing. The taxidermist character in the first one may frighten very young children, but Nicole Kidman does an excellent job portraying her.

    If you are in the NTSC DVD section of the world, please note that you will have to purchase a PAL/NTSC DVD player to view this particular 2-films-for-one package. I bought my first double-format DVD player nearly twenty years ago and have never looked back.

    All in all, I recommend both films to the young and the young at heart! They are very positive and make a person feel good inside after watching them. I always enjoy trying to figure out what Paddington is going to do next! Excellent cast, the plots are fun and interesting, and Paddington is clever and adorable! 5/5 stars!
