- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 November 2024Paddington in Peru is a 2024 live-action animated adventure comedy film directed by Dougal Wilson, written by Mark Burton, Jon Foster and James Lamout, from a story by Paul King, Simon Farnaby, and Burton. Based on the stories of Paddington Bear, created by Michael Bond, it is the third installment in the Paddington film series, and a sequel to Paddington (2014) and Paddington 2 (2017). The film stars Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington, with Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer (replacing Sally Hawkins), Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas and Carla Tous in supporting roles.
So we are up to the third entry and as with most thirds in a film trilogy we are taken away from the main the usual setting from a friendly street in in London to the jungle of Peru as Paddington and Browns take a trip to find Aunty Lucy with the Marmalade loving bear getting in to high Jinks and along the way with Antonio Banderas and Olivia Coleman in fine form and Olivia Coleman stealing the show with her Not suspicious Nun. It a different director and Emily Mortimer steps into the Mrs Brown role after Sally Hawkins step aside. This is a step down from Paddington 2 not that it' bad but Paddington 2 is a hard act to follow. Stay for the end credits and someone pops up.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 November 2024Paddington Bear and the Brown family go to Peru to search for Paddington's Aunt Lucy who has gone missing. The 3rd Paddington movie not quite as good as Paddington 2 but still a fun and enjoyable family comedy with good performances from the returning Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer and Julie Walters and Ben Wishaw returning as the voice of Paddington and joined by Antonio Banderas as a River Boat Captain and Olivia Colman as a singing nun. The type of entertainment we need right now which should put a smile on your face.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2024Brilliant film, definitely film of 2024
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2024I watched this at my local cinema last Saturday 9th November, First of all I thought this film was good but not as Good as Paddington 2 that is the best film of the Paddingtons because of Hugh Grant, second great to see Paddington back after 7 years away, this cast was good especially Olivia Coleman as the nunn mother and there is a surprise at the end credits and i was happy to see this person at the end, i 'll say no more. I would recommend this to family's with children I liked this film and i'm 34 would give this 7 out of 10.
