Bought this charger because Paslode charger is so expensive. Charger did not hold battery properly and required me to place weight on the inserted battery to hold it in place. Would have been better to "bite the bullet" and purchase Paslode charger despite the price.

Well who hasn't left a charger on site only to return to find that it has wandered off into the sunset under its own steam?...not me, thats for sure!

I dont know how many chargers I've left plugged in on sites over the years and until fairly recently, I would have to bite the bullet and replace a missing one with the original, usually unnecessarily expensive, genuine brand. In recent years off brand chargers are widely available and in my experience are just as good as the 'real ones'.

This is cerainly the case of this charger - it charges all my paslode batteries just as well as the originals and has the added bonus of charging a range of battery types (nicket cadmim, hydride and lithium). The plastic casing is slighly more roughly made than the originals but tht type of thing doesnt bother me as at some point I'll leave it plugged on some god forsaken building site and I'll need to order another. A very good alternative.

The YEX-BUR Dual Chemistry Power Tool Battery Charger arrived neatly packed in a plain cardboard box.

In the box you get the charger unit and a short instruction manual.

The unit is finished in black plastic with a printed key and is nicely finished with no rough edges or any visible moulding flash.

The charger is multi-voltage and can charge both Paslode 6v Ni-Cd/NI-MH and 7.2v Li-Ion batteries.

In use the charger charged both my genuine Paslode 6v batteries and also the compatible batteries that I own without any problems and charging times were similar to using the official Paslode charger.

Great value spare or replacement charger for any tradesman or DIYer who uses 6v or 7.2v Paslode cordless tools.

A Paslode battery charger much smaller than the original yet capable of charging mixed chemistry batteries from old and new Paslode tools.

Mixed chemistry battery chargers are brilliant technology as save time and money, this charger also has the ability to charge Li-ion 7.4v batteries to suit the latests tools such as second fix nailer's which for me is great as that my next purchase to go with my first fix.

In use this charger is quick at charging batteries, like most others it has LED indication of charge and faults plus the now common multiple protection systems that enable EU and UK safety certifications, the fact you can charge older Ni-CD and Ni-MH batteries is useful as I still have my older tools with batteries although the batteries probably require replacing if truth be told, however the tools still work so hopefully this charger will bring them back to life.

This small charger far more portable than the original, easier to transport and use whilst out and about, for me a winner, makes my toolbox lighter and leaves more space for me to fill.
