This charger is rated at 3 amps per port and quotes a 40 minute charge time for a 4.0 amp hour battery. Dewalts genuine charger is rated at 8amps (more than double) and only manages the same charging time. Simple maths shows you what the charge times should be. This charger rated at 3 amps supplying 20 volts would take 60 mins to charge a 3 amp hour 20 volt battery at around 5% capacity (drained 95%). That's where the ratings come from. To achieve the quoted charge times of 40 mins for a 4.0 amp hour battery or 60 mins for a 6.0 amp hour it would need to be delivering at least double (6 amps) the quoted rating. If you don't mind waiting a couple of hours to charge your 6.0 amp hour battery it will be fine though.
