This is very much a home use device but it works well as long as you follow the instructions, which to be fair came through the translation process pretty well. I wanted it to keep a check on my caravan between services, having taken base measurements in key areas I can easily recheck and be aware of any potential damp issues very quickly without having to use a prong type damp meter. Very happy with this.

This is a review of an item received free as part of the ��غ�� Vine program. I make my reviews as objective as possible and only award 5 stars if I feel a product is really worth it and is something that I would be happy to buy.

This is a good damp probe/ metre, it is nicely made, very easy to use and seems to work well too.

I've tested it in areas where I know there's damp and it does a good job detecting it, it also found risk spots in place I didn't know about. I also tested it on objects that I knew were dry and the reading corresponded, so I'm confident that it reads accurately.

Comes with a nice little carry case and a charge cable. The screen on the device is very good, clear, well laid out and easy to understand.

Handheld moister meter with a strange metal blob on the end. It is powered by an internal battery charged via a USB-C port.
It comes in a zip up case for storage and includes a charging cable.
It is fairly simple to use, Hold the on/off button until it turns on, it then needs calibrating by pressing the MEAS button.
This has to be done every time it is switched on.
It is then ready to use and the metal blob can be any surface, brick, concrete, plaster wood etc to obtain a dampness reading. This is given as degrees up to 100%.
The device can also be set with a base to work from ranging from dry to wet.
It is the sort of device that would be useful to anyone doing building work or internal decorating where damp is a problem.
I’m not planning on any work like that at the moment but I am using this meter to check the dampness on my store of logs for burning on our log burner.
It has enabled me to sort the dry ones from the damp ones which I then leave in the heath to dry out a bit before burning. For that it’s proving useful.
It works well at detecting dampness in multiple surfaces and materials, although for what it does the price seems quite high.
Whether it is worth that price is up to each buyer.

This moisture meter comes in a neat little case which will easily contain the meter, the charging cable and the instruction booklet.
The meter is well made and seems to work well. The ball end sensor is a little large and may restrict where you can get too with it. But on the positive side, compared with my two pin meter, it will actually reach more confined spaces. It also has the advantage of not marking the surface you are testing.
It is expensive for casual use, my two pin meter was a quarter of the price but that uses button cells and I they are inevitably flat every time I come to use it. So the USB charging of this device is a godsend.

Il misuratore senza contatto Proster è uno strumento che permette di rilevare l'umidità presente nel legno e nei materiali da costruzione, distinguendosi dai modelli simili grazie alla sonda esterna, anziché interna. La sua forma sferica facilita l'accesso in spazi ristretti, mentre la costruzione in metallo protegge la sonda da interferenze elettromagnetiche, garantendo misurazioni più affidabili. Tuttavia, il corpo in plastica dello strumento non è particolarmente robusto, sebbene gli inserti laterali in silicone ne migliorino la presa, impedendo che scivoli dalle mani. Manca, però, una protezione contro eventuali cadute, che potrebbe comprometterne l'integrità in caso di urto.
L'alimentazione è garantita da una batteria interna ricaricabile tramite porta USB-C, che offre una buona autonomia, purché venga ricaricata periodicamente per preservarne l'efficienza. Il misuratore utilizza una tecnologia capacitiva, basata sulla variazione dielettrica di un campo elettrico: ciò gli consente di penetrare fino a una profondità di circa 4 cm senza danneggiare la superficie del materiale. B. um bei einer Immobilienbesichtigungen, oder in der Mietwohnung, feuchte (Wand)-Stellen zu entdecken und zwar ohne Beschädigung des Mauerwerkes. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist für den Heimgebrauch völlig in Ordnung. Im professionellen Einsatz ist der integrierte und nicht wechselbare Akku ein Nachteil. Außerdem messen Profigeräte üblicherweise im Bereich 0-200 Digits, lösen also feiner auf. Im Heimwerkerbereich ist das aber unerheblich.

Das "Proster Feuchtigkeitsmessgerät, Kugelform" zeigt die gemessene Feuchtigkeit gerätetypisch in Digits an (0-100 Digits). Man erhält also keinen absoluten Durchfeuchtungsgrad des Materials, aber den benötigt man üblicherweise auch nicht. Für die wichtigsten Baustoffe (Gipskarton, Zement, Holz) gibt es in der Bedienungsanleitung eine Vergleichstabelle zur Umrechnung Digits in Materialfeuchte. Wer's braucht!

Zur Lokalisierung von Feuchtigkeitsproblemen lege ich üblicherweise ein Raster fest (z. B. Der Einfluss von elektrisch leitenden Stoffen, die bei dielektrisch messenden Kugelkopfmessgeräten einen Einfluss auf die Messung haben, lässt sich bei der Rastermethode gut erkennen. Der Einfluss ist bei elektrischen Leitungen jedoch nicht wirklich dramatisch (siehe Fotos, besonders jenes mit dem darüberliegenden Lichtschalter bzw. dem Steckdosenwürfel). Jedes Material verändert das elektrische Feld des Messgeräte anders und damit auch den angezeigten Digits-Wert. Glas zeigt einen anderen Messwert (siehe Foto), als Ziegelmauerwerk mit Mörtel und das wiederum einen anderen Messwert als Gipskartonplatten (Achtung bei den Metallstehern).

Um es nochmals klar zu sagen: Das "Proster Feuchtigkeitsmessgerät, Kugelform" zeigt keine absolute Feuchtigkeit in Prozent an, sondern Digits! Zum besseren Verständnis siehe Foto des Messgerätes mit der Kugel im Wasserglas. Das Messgerät müsste bei einer Anzeige der Feuchtigkeit sonst 100% anzeigen. Wichtig: Das Messgerät vor der Messung kalibrieren, was in der Bedienungsanleitung gut beschrieben wird und rasch erledigt ist.

Die Bedienungsanleitung ist übrigens in gutem Deutsch geschrieben; eine Wohltat!

Fazit: Gute Heimwerkerqualität, ergibt volle 5 Sterne

Glas zeigt einen anderen Messwert (siehe Foto), als Ziegelmauerwerk mit Mörtel und das wiederum einen anderen Messwert als Gipskartonplatten (Achtung bei den Metallstehern).

Um es nochmals klar zu sagen: Das "Proster Feuchtigkeitsmessgerät, Kugelform" zeigt keine absolute Feuchtigkeit in Prozent an, sondern Digits! Zum besseren Verständnis siehe Foto des Messgerätes mit der Kugel im Wasserglas. Das Messgerät müsste bei einer Anzeige der Feuchtigkeit sonst 100% anzeigen. Wichtig: Das Messgerät vor der Messung kalibrieren, was in der Bedienungsanleitung gut beschrieben wird und rasch erledigt ist.

Die Bedienungsanleitung ist übrigens in gutem Deutsch geschrieben; eine Wohltat!

Fazit: Gute Heimwerkerqualität, ergibt volle 5 Sterne

Nachdem meine Eltern über die Weihnachtsfeiertage einen Wasserrohrbruch hatten und es äusserst schwierig war einen Handwerker zu bekommen bin ich nun sehr froh ein solches Gerät im Haus zu haben. Das Feuchtigkeitsmessgerät von Proster ist in einer Transporttasche mit Handschlaufe bei mir angekommen. Das gefiel mir schon mal gut, so hat man alles beieinander wenn es denn gebraucht wird. Mit im Lieferumfang ist auch ein USB-C Ladekabel und eine mehrsprachige Anwendungsbeschreibung enthalten. In dem kleinen Handbuch welches verständlich geschrieben und zusätzlich mit Bildern dargestellt ist, ist eine hilfreiche Vergleichstabelle mit Angaben zur Materialfeuchte enthalten. Lt. Hersteller kann dieses Gerät Feuchtigkeit bis zu 40mm in die Tiefe erkennen. Der LCD-Bildschirm ist gut ablesbar, ein akustischer Piepton ertönt wenn die Kugelkopfsonde eine Messung im Risikobereich registriert.
Das Gerät selbst ist sehr leicht, es wiegt nur 147g. Das Gehäuse ist aus schwarzem Kunststoff hergestellt, an der rechten/linken Seite sind "geriffelte" leicht gummierte Einsätze angebracht welche die Haftung des Messgerätes in der Hand während der Anwendung erheblich verbessert. Die ermittelten Werte können zudem gespeichert werden und die Aufladung über den USB-C Anschluss funktioniert einwandfrei. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt hier auch, zum Zeitpunkt meiner Bestellung war der Preis für diesen Artikel bei 59,99€. Das ist für mich absolut in Ordnung, denn ich brauche mir keine Gedanken um Batterien zu machen wenn ich das Messgerät einsetzen möchte/muss. Der Artikel hat meine Erwartung erfüllt, ihn für den Fall der Fälle im Haus zu haben gibt mir Sicherheit, aus o.g. Gründen erhält er von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Ich habe damit diverse vermeidlich feuchte Stellen bzw. ehemals feuchte Stellen gemessen.

Kleiner Tipp: Immer an mehreren (trockenen) Stellen erst einmal einen Referenzwert holen um die Feuchtigkeit noch besser einschätzen zu können.
