About this item

RJ45 plug, tool-free Cat7 is suitable for Cat7, Cat6A installation cables that have AWG 26 to AWG 23 and a cable sheath diameter of 6 to 7.6 mm. 100% backwards compatible with other CAT variants such as Cat7, Cat6A and Cat6.
RJ45 plug shielded: Full shield. Shielded housing with anti-interference to ensure the quality of signal transmission. The gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts are corrosion and friction-resistant. The service life is therefore extended and the transmission quality is improved
Tool-free Network Connector Cat7: The wires are pulled into a threading aid and inserted into the plug. When the housing is closed, the wires are automatically pressed onto an LSA module. The screw-on strain relief is used to secure the cores. The process can be easily completed within 2 minutes without special tools in the field The installation can be repeated if necessary
Operating temperature: -10 ��C to 60 ��C. Suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE, PoE plus and UPoE)

Awesome RJ45's, pretty easy to setup so long as you know what you're doing, i'll help you out abit if you don't.

T568a is for networks running off telephone line, i.e. older setups
T568b is for current network setups

Each color has it's own white cable, i like how they've added the color sequence on these to make it easier.

green and orange will be the longer cables, the blue and brown the shorter, you'll see what i mean when you watch the video.

i recommend you purchase a bit of extra copper conductive shielding foil tape as you don't get much with these and it breaks easy, only a couple of ?.

I'm not a technical person generally but needed to set up an 80 mtr ethernet cable for a home office. Having struggled with the usual connectors - such impossible things when you don't do them regularly - these were so much easier to use. There was still a level of difficulty and I didn't get it right first time, but using a tester soon identified which connection was the problem. The only things I'd say - the copper strips are very fragile and virtually useless, and these connectors are very pricey side compared to the conventional ones.

I installed cat 7 cable in my house a few years ago, thinking that I will future proof my house and it backward compatible. But only now seeing the error of my choice of cable.

Now I need the cable seeing that cat 7 cable are thicker than cat 5a cable.

To the review, I have bought two packs. First one I installed I made the worst errors of course.

Cat 7 cables are harder to control. If not cut the outer cable sleeve in the right place, the cable are twisted in wrong order that they don't align when fitting to the cable holder (but you can't see until you remove the sleeve protection, which is all luck).

Even if not align its still OK, it means that at back of the cable will show more twisted cable, and the copper plate sticker might not cover the exposed cables (no real lost as not using it for cat 7 standards).

This is another error I made when closing the cover of the RJ45, I use a pliers to close the cover on the rear on fasteners which broke off. Should of use it on base of the case. I used duck tape to keep it closed.

They when well for the other 3 I installed, but still uses duck tape on all 4, I personal don't think they last if I don't.

Getting your finger to releases the RJ45 if a bit harder then a normal RJ45, but only take a 3 sec for me. I won't be taking the RJ45 in and out, more then I need to, I don't think they will brake.

But using the RJ45 they are longer 3cm now then normal and thinker too, use it to connect to my Sony OLED XR65A80K. (Funny this is the first one I installed). But due to the cable thinker then cat 5a cable, its harder to bend so it just about fits inside the Sony tv connects ports cover and comes out.

Overall there isn't much of a choice if you want to convert a cat 7 cable to use RJ45.

The concept of the product is good enough but when the item arrived both the copper strips (yes you only get 2 small strips for 2 reusable connectors?) had fallen off the paper they were supposed to be stuck to, leaving them with no stickiness, rendering them useless. The cable i have is also the correct thickness for the connnector 6.5mm but the socket is way bigger at the opening than advertised meaning it doesnt really support the cable. This will most likely lead to the cable failing in a short amount of time. Not happy with this item.
