This is an incredibly cute squirrel feeder, in theory If I can tempt the squirrels to it they will perch on the stool to get to the nuts and look like they are playing!

In practice, I haven't managed to entice any to it yet, could be to do with the smell of varnish that is still very strong after being out for ages, Hopefully when the smell goes it will work as intended as its very, very cute and very well made.

This feeder adds a bit of humour to the garden, being shaped like a piano, complete with stool.
It arrives fully constructed and with a metal plate enclosed, so that it can be hung from a fence/wall.
You can fill it by simply lifting the lid at the top and pouring the feed, I used peanuts, in. These become trapped behind a clear screen, which has just enough room at the bottom to release some of the goodies inside.
At £18.99, at time of review, it's worth the price purely for the amusement value - hopefully the birds/squirrels will love it as much as I do.

So this is very cute!

I love to see handmade products on the marketplace… theres some much more special about them! This is no exception! The VELENTI Piano Squirrel Feeder is a quirky, fun garden ornament that will feed our furry friends!

Build quality is lovely with no sharp edges and looks the part.. its actually a bit larger than I expected and looks great installed on my back fence. It does protrude quite far and doesn’t look great from the side though so ensure you install it somewhere that makes sense.

The wood its made from seems ok but I suspect it’ll only last a few years out in the British weather… only time will tell.

The lid has some good quality hinges which you open and put in the nuts… the gap at the bottom where the squirrels can access them is quite large though so make sure you don’t by nuts that are too small otherwise they’ll all simply pour out. It could have perhaps benefited from a small lip to stop them rolling out but it would have somewhat ruined its aesthetics.

Overall is a lovely handcrafted piece to the garden and if and when my locals squirrels discover it, it’ll be a joy to watch them eat from it!

This piano shaped squirrel feeder from Valenti arrived fully constructed .

The first impression was that it’s very smelly ,the varnish or preservative has a really strong smell and we had to place it outside immediately it was so overpowering .

Reasonably well constructed of plywood and easy to fix to a fence post or bracket . It is quite heavy so I wouldn’t attach to the middle of the fence .

Lift the lid and fill with peanuts , make sure you have the feeder flat for this or even tipped back a little as they can shoot out the bottom .

We have 2 regular squirrels that have ignored it for the last few weeks ,a pigeon that occasionally sits on the top then disappears but no other wildlife has gone near .

Despite nearly 3 weeks in the garden it still smells strongly , perhaps that is putting the squirrels off and I wonder if the smell will impregnate the food .

A fun idea and would make a fun / silly gift but no interest yet .. I feel a bit silly now the neighbours have noticed, so fingers crossed there will be a curious squirrel soon.

This is so very cute, and I really can't wait to use it on who it was intended for. Like many products that are shipped, this came with an intense chemical smell which I am assuming is a pest control substance. Because this is meant to be used as a feeder, that is causing me some concern. I have been airing it out waiting for the smell to fade. If the smell goes away, I guess I will scrub the part that would touch the food and give it a try. I will come back and report once I have quotes from actual squirrels. I wish I knew that whatever the smell is was something that is in fact safe for squirrels to contact.
