A fabulous mini greenhouse, good value for the money paid, I brought 2, this will enable my 89 year old mother to keep her many, many cacti safe during the winter months. Would have given 5 star, if there had been pre drilled holes to screw more easily together. I purchase 2 of these, and of course building the 2nd once was easier! It would be great if there was a base for this coldframe to contain all, I shall have to either add a base, or screw them down incase they blow off in the winter winds! But overall very pleased.

Had a self assembly before from a different company. Flimsy and a nightmare to erect, but with this one, everything is more or less done for you.

Bought this for my husband, so he has scored the cold frame (apart from value for money). He says that it was easy to assemble, but not as sturdy as he would've liked. When I use it, I find it acceptable and functional, it houses my baby butternut squash plants very well, keeps the slugs out and is, I think, easy to open, close or leave open ( I think my husband is a little wrong about the sturdiness - I think it's fine).

Easy to to together. Product a little of out of line despite careful screwing, so when the lid went on it was not totally in line with the base but easy to get some spacers out of the garage and 'pad out' one of the hinges so all aligned well. It's lightweight so I put a simple base Fram together from some spare '2 by 2' and bracketed it to that - definitely needed if it is windy. In the spring I will probably make a small raised bed for it to sit over.

The only downside I have found is that my cat likes to try and sleep on it and its not strong enough for that but my lettuces are happy.

I was impressed with this product and also that the manufacturer had listened to previous reviewers comments and addressed the slotted bar issue were only at one side would twist the lid but they now have one to fit on each side of the lid included. Works perfectly. Although the made up frame is very light it is also very sturdy when made up. I have made a purpose built table to save me bending so much and have also fastened the frame down to this to avoid wind damage with the frame been so light. Would recommend this product to anyone thinking of a purchase. Good value for money and good build quality also easy to assemble.
