Customers find the fastener drive bit useful and well-made. It works well for them to remove studs and bolts, even those that are difficult to remove with other tools. The grip is good on large studs, holding tight even the most difficult ones. However, some customers have experienced issues with internal teeth breaking off or limited grip.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 November 2022Bought to remove a broken bolt from the chassis of my old triumph, the head of the bolt had sheared off and left a bit sticking out. This tool grabbed the broken bolt and I used my impact wrench and this tool removed the bolt no problems. It was rusted solid too. Great.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 December 2022Works very well.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 July 2012Excellent product! I had a rusted in bolt in my engine that had sheared off - behind the water pump and timing case. I'd already cracked my timing cover (expensive mistake) because of this bolt and was getting desperate. A little PlusGas overnight, this baby arrived in the morning. I set it up and it turned the bolt with ease!
Things to know:
You don't need a lot of space around the stud like other extractors with the knurled wheel.
You can drive it with any standard 1/2" wrench, bar, air tool etc or with a 24 mm socket.
If you get the extractor done up so tight you cannot loosen the extracted bolt/stud from it by hand then you will need a 36 mm spanner as well as the 1/2" wrench or 24 mm socket.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2022Sturdy well built , feels like it can handle proper stresses . Used to take out some stripped Chainsaw bar studs . The Chainsaw tool seems very hard to buy and expensive . This alternative worked perfectly . Yes I did try cutting slots in the studs , impact wrench , big pliers - all a waste of time . Use this tool - it worked perfectly . Very pleased 👍
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 March 2021Quite bulky and so hard to use in confined space.
Needs quite a length of bolt to get a grip. Any less than 1cm and you'll struggle.
And then the internal teeth snapped off. Sent back for refund.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 October 2020It did exactly what I wanted and that was to remove a broken exhaust stud. Tried the 2 nut method but as the stud was recessed I could not tighten the lower nut against the upper one. This gripped on and removed it with no problems.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 August 2016Great piece of kit, if a little pricey. Easily removed an M6 socket bolt that I'd struggled to remove with other extractors. Time will tell how robust it is.
