I brought this for my mother as a birthday present. I would not consider myself much of a DIY man, but the instructions are clear and concise. Within an hour, all three tables had been built. The type of tools you will need is a Phillips screwdriver and mallet (or hammer).
The wood is completely natural pine. Each person will have their favourite finish, but we went with a few coats of varnish. The positives of this is that it adds a protective layer and gives the wood a slight shine. However if you choose to leave the wood and go for the more natural look, this also looks good.
I would recommend this items to anyone who is looking for new furniture. It goes well with the pine Corona TV stand too. The price is good and the quality of the furniture is well above what you would expect for the price. Both this item and the TV stand have been a sturdy build.
