Our shower has packed up so we’re getting by using this attachment. It fitted to our bath mixer tap better than I thought and hasn’t slipped off yet, some water does spray out where it goes over the tap but this would happen with any attachment I’m sure. At the moment for us this works and been using it for nearly a week now. Could do with the length being longer.

As most of the reviews for this, and similar products, state. They don't work.

At least not as intended (and not without a little bodging). If you can get a metal ring to secure it to the tap you might be ok. The rubber is reasonably flexible so should clamp down without breaking.

But, just attaching it to the tap and hoping it will work will get you nowhere. (And securing with a metal ring sort of defeats the point of being able to easily take the shower fitting off and on again).

The downward angle of this product should make it ideal for the sort of tap I own but the moment you get up to any kind of pressure at all the water begins to escape and after a moment or two it pushes the suction cup off the tap entirely.

Even if you hold it in place with one hand whilst using it water continues to escape. If you don't hold on to it and manage to hit the sweet spot with water pressure and temperature (no mean feat with a mixer tap), the moment you move the hose you'll knock the suction cup loose.

I've no choice (as my shower is broken) so i'll make it work this week but then this is going in the bin. I might invest in a new bath tap with a built in shower fitting so i'm prepared for the next shower meltdown.

Not sure how much of the issue is the showerhead and how much is our tap, but it has a REALLY hard time maintaining a complete seal, so any amount of water pressure causes it to shoot out the back of the fitting or otherwise come off entirely. I wouldn't be as annoyed if it weren't supposed to be a "one-size fits all" type of item, and the manufacturer easily could have added a more extensive seal membrane to the inside so that it would be compatible with a variety of tap sizes/shapes. As it is, it is almost entirely un-usable unless I use one hand to clamp the fitting tightly around the tap (if I turn down the water pressure to where I needn't hold it, there's basically no pressure).

My tap is too wide for the standard shower adapter, so I bought this one.
This one seems to have been made for MASSIVE taps. Despite my tap APPEARING to be the right size & shape for this shower attachment, both according to the measurements in the item description, and in practice when fitting it; once it’s actually on the rubber flange does not create a proper seal. This results in water leaking from the attachment end and nothing very much coming out of the shower end. A complete waste of money & very disappointing

For me this didn't work at all. We've got a 1990's square tap that would have been called modern back then. It's a real struggle to get it over the tap, but then you want a firm fit, so that's not necessarily a downside. The problem is that the water outlet on the tap is set someway back from the end so the water actually is coming out where the rubber finishes. This would probably work if the water outlet is at the end of the tap.

I've given it three stars because it's not really the fault of the product that it doesn't fit our tap. It seems okay made for this sort of product, after all it's plastic and rubber put together, we've all seen these before.
