My Belkin Flip had given up yesterday and being in the middle of writing an important document which required switching between my work and personal laptops, I had to find an urgent replacement. Following the usual search on ÍøÆغÚÁÏ, I ordered this KVM VGA swticher as it was well priced compared to the expensive options, was available for next day delivery and as you have the assurance of ÍøÆغÚÁÏ returns in case things go wrong. Luckily, in this case, things didn't go wrong.
The switcher can connect 4 computers/laptops/consoles in total and comes with 4 VGA cables of very solid quality. It has 3 USB slots to connect a mouse, keyboard, printer/webcam etc. and has one VGA slot for a single monitor. Set-up was a breeze, as I was done in less than 5 minutes. The switcher button works fine and entire mission, including testing, channeling the cables etc. was accomplished in max 10 minutes. I have been using the switcher for about a couple of hours now and I am very pleased so far.
If I had to find any fault, it would be that the unit feels a bit flimsy which kind of justifies the £20 price range. Also, that the cable connectors have a weird blue color which does not match my home office decor (black would have been universally acceptable). And lastly, although I have connected only 2 laptops, the switcher cycles across all 4 channels to identify connected devices instead of automatically sensing that only 2 devices are connected and just cycle between those 2. This is just me being really picky and is not a problem.
Overall, a quick, effective and economical solution. Strongly recommended for those considering it.
