These 160 pencil set come in a sturdy heavy box. The colours are vibrant and the pigment lays down well and blending is a dream. They are not all the quality of polychromos and pablo etc but for £24.99 they are comparable in finished projects. If you are a adult colouring book fan these pencils would be perfect and even a colourist of your own stuff would find them very easy to use and blend. Zenacolor as a company have been very attentive and if you did happen to have a problem I am sure they would sort it for you, if you register your pencil set with them you are able to download an image of the week to colour. If you are on a tight budget you will not regret buying these. I am not sure if they do open stock on these but I am sure you could find out from the company but, they are so reasonable in price that I will just be buying another set. Go buy them!

A very good set of coloring pencils. A huge range of shades. The pencils perform well and blend well. The box is cardboard but is quite substantial. A magnetic flap is a nice touch to keep the box closed. The only thing that lets it down are the very flimsy trays. Mine arrived with three of the trays already split on the corners. The grips for getting the trays out are slippery making it awkward to remove the trays. I solved this problem by sticking some thin rubber strip to them which improved things a lot. Apart from the trays, I was very pleased with my purchase Very good value for money.

First the positive. Absolutely love the colours and they lay down beautiful on paper, blending wonderfully. So, no complaints in that regard. However, have discovered that when sharpening them, the lead breaks very easily. Have tried a number of different sharpeners with the same result. This has meant losing on the amount of pencil just trying to get a sharp point because the lead keeps breaking in the sharpener. Apart from that, love working with them.

I just love these pencils. I have had a couple of weeks to colour with them now and I am finding them a dream to use. The colours are vivid and clear and all but one are numbered and a colour name printed on them. Not too keen on the packaging as when I remove the top layers to get to the other layers the pencils fall as the plastic inserts are a little too flexible to hold the weight. This is of course a very minor problem and would not put me off buying them again when needed. The wood is very easy to sharpen. You can get quite a sharp point on the pencils if you're careful and sharpen them slowly.

It depends what you are looking to pay. This set is by no means a "proffesional" set. It is ok to mess around with. I did a side by side comparison with a high quality set, that's twice the price. The difference is in the colour density, ability to blend, and waxy nature of the quality pencils. They are just heaps better. But, if you just want a cheap way to mess around colouring, these are fine.
