The wrought iron garden gate was in need of some TLC. The paint was breaking away and small pockets of rust here and there. There’s no point in just painting over the top even though it’s very tempting.
I could have just gone with a wire brush and some sandpaper but that sounded like a lot of hard work. I have a good electric drill, so I went for these wire brush drill accessories at just under a tenner.
When they arrived, I was impressed at their quality. However, a word of warning, these things are really sharp and I would strongly suggest wearing gloves when handling them. When using them, goggles and mask is well advised too. Bits will fly off and dust will be generated, so think safety first!
The job I had in hand was easily accomplished with tis set. I particularly like the spiral one as it was easy to get into the curves of the gate and the tight corners.
Overall, this is a nice set of wire brush tools, and they’re not expensive.
