Setup Your Audikast Transmitter

Avantree Audikast plugged in to a power source and TV.

Connect to TV's audio output with Optical, AUX, or AUX to RCA cable.

First-time: Automatically enters pairing mode.
Subsequent: Press and hold the headphone icon until LED flashes red&blue.

What range can I expect?

Audikast reaches up to 100ft / 30m in open space, but the range may vary due to obstacles, interference, headphone reception, and the number of devices connected to the transmitter.

Can I have audio through my TV’s speakers and wireless headphones at the same time?

It depends on whether your TV can output audio to two devices simultaneously. If not, we offer products for simultaneous TV audio on an external speaker and Bluetooth headphones.

I have a wall-mounted TV and cannot reach the audio-out ports in the back. Will this work with an HDMI-connected TV box?

This transmitter doesn’t have an HDMI port. However, by using the Audikast with our Avantree Hax05, an HDMI audio extractor, you can easily resolve this issue.

What devices are compatible with the Avantree Audikast Plus Bluetooth 5.3 Audio Transmitter?

The past few weeks I've bought cheaper versions of this type of product mainly something where you just plug a usb stick into your TV. The problem with those type of products is they can work but with wireless headphones like mine, there is no way to turn up the sounds so you end up with an output where it's incredibly quiet or inaudible if you like eating crisps whilst watching a film like me.

I've just unpacked this, watched the tutorial and within 10 minutes I've set this up and got it working. I have Bluetooth Sony earbuds and testing the sound volume ans it's perfect. Thank you much for creating a product that actually works and for solving my frustration with this. Would 100% recommend this product and well worth the investment. The fact that you have to plug this into a power source is further suggestion that it has been designed correctly for maximum output.

Don't waste your money with other cheaper product variations. Buy this!

Don’t normally write reviews; been seeking a unit to work with Apple AirPods as the most comfortable ‘headphones’ to use. Amazed at how this was a plug and go with instant pairing and working over the 3.2 mm audio cable. Sound quality as food as tv speakers or inexpensive sound bar. No background noise when on mains or from TV. If the sound bar is used simultaneous (for my wife whilst I use AirPods to compensate for my slight deafness) there is a very very slight latency echo which strangely enhances the ease of listening to speech. The volume control on TV adjusts volume to AirPods whilst the sound bar connected by optical cord has its own separate volume control so works independently. Interesting plug the audio link into a reasonable quality Denon audio unit and that works and with good quality sound. I suspect others are looking for a solution to allow use of Apple AirPods to provide enhanced hearing aid and this review is for them rather than those seeking perfect quality audio.

Save yourself hours of frustration, just don't buy it.

This works well once it has finally paired, but if you get new headphones & try to pair them, expect to spend hours trying to get it to work.

The manual is terrible & the lights show colours that are not in the manual.

Their support are beyond useless & basically just send you a link to the manual, which, as previously stated, is terrible & no help at all if you encounter any issues; their website support section, the same, about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Am about to take a hammer to mine, as this is probably the most satisfaction that I will ever get from it (having purchased new headphones).

It does just what I needed it to do...or so I thought.
Turns out I'm an idiot and haven't paired headphones in so long I forgot how to so I thought my Samsung TV would only paid to Samsung headphones.
So I bought this lol.
Turns out I don't actually need it but instead of returning it amd getting my $50 back I'm keeping it and I'll tell you why.
First of all pairing headphones to it is extremely easy.
It supports two pairs at once just like my tv does so that's cool.
But the real reason I'm keeping it is twofold.
Number one it supports more codes than my tv does. I tested it using my Sony XM3 using SBC, aptX, and LL.
Second reason I'm keeping it, which is by far the biggest reason, is it most definitely boosts volume over what I'd normally get from the optical connection.
I just use the buttons on the headphones to control the volume.
It's a beautiful thing and to me is most definitely worth the money.
I have mine hooked up to a remote control power outlet so I can turn it on only when I want it on instead of using the tv usb that would power it all the time.
I just switch my tv to optical, turn on the remote control power switch to turn this unit on, turn on my headphones and it just connects.
I have 5 different pairs of Bluetooth headphones and so far I've hooked up the 2 I really wanted which is the Sony XM3's and Skullcandy Crusher Evo's and man the Evo's sound the best and get the loudest even over my Sony's.
Pairing the Samsung Buds Pro2 and 3 is a bit more difficult bc the TV grabs that Bluetooth signal over everything else so I have to pair to this unit with another device and keeping the tv off so it won't steal the Bluetooth connection.
Man if it makes those 2 ear buds louder like it does these 2 that will be CRAZY bc they already sound so good.
I'll do that when I get around to it.
For now this little Bluetooth transmitter is awesome.
It's literally the only one I could find that boosts the volume using the optical input unless I was looking to spend far over $100.
This things so great I even bought the 3 year extended warranty for $7 which i mever do but just in case lol.
I usually buy 2 or 3 of things I really like but not on a $50 device w an extended warranty lol.
It sounds really good to my ears and I haven't experienced even the slightest bit of audio lag.
The sync seems to be right on time and I'm using the SBC codec at the moment.
Aptx is even better!

It does just what I needed it to do...or so I thought.
Turns out I'm an idiot and haven't paired headphones in so long I forgot how to so I thought my Samsung TV would only paid to Samsung headphones.
So I bought this lol.
Turns out I don't actually need it but instead of returning it amd getting my $50 back I'm keeping it and I'll tell you why.
First of all pairing headphones to it is extremely easy.
It supports two pairs at once just like my tv does so that's cool.
But the real reason I'm keeping it is twofold.
Number one it supports more codes than my tv does. I tested it using my Sony XM3 using SBC, aptX, and LL.
Second reason I'm keeping it, which is by far the biggest reason, is it most definitely boosts volume over what I'd normally get from the optical connection.
I just use the buttons on the headphones to control the volume.
It's a beautiful thing and to me is most definitely worth the money.
I have mine hooked up to a remote control power outlet so I can turn it on only when I want it on instead of using the tv usb that would power it all the time.
I just switch my tv to optical, turn on the remote control power switch to turn this unit on, turn on my headphones and it just connects.
I have 5 different pairs of Bluetooth headphones and so far I've hooked up the 2 I really wanted which is the Sony XM3's and Skullcandy Crusher Evo's and man the Evo's sound the best and get the loudest even over my Sony's.

Se conectaron 2 audífonos Sony (1 WH-XB900N y 1 WH-XB700).. el emparejamiento se realizó muy rápido, se utiliza el códec APTX para ambos y no se aprecia delay alguno al momento de ver películas.

I didn't get this for TV. I got this for music production. I tried regular Bluetooth and the audio latency/lag/delay was totally unacceptable. I got Sony's RF400 headphones and while the sound quality was poor, they were excellent for their zero latency. But they had a terrible problem: they switched to power-saving mode if there was no sound for 2 minutes, and waking them up took 15 seconds. This drove me bonkers. I would like to get the AIAIAI Wireless+ but they cost like 50,000 in India. So I wanted to try Bluetooth with the APTx LL low latency codec. I got this Audikast Plus and Sennheiser HD350BT headphones (both have APTx LL low latency).

There is some audio latency. If I try to record a vocal, I hear my voice directly first, and then from the headphones. So, it isn't acceptable for music production. But it's great for regular TV watching.
