Product Description
SV305 astronomy camera meets the basic needs of astronomy enthusiasts for planetary photography. SV305 camera needs to install the driver, you can download it from the link described in the manual. And then download the corresponding version of sharpcap software according to the computer system.
Can Work for Raspberry Pi Station
For a Raspberry Pi workstation with dual screens and an SSD drive for storing results, SV305 camera and microscope, snail shells are visible on the left monitor and capture controls on the right monitor.
12-bit ADC
12bit refers to the 12th power of 2, the number of color gradients, the higher the number of a color level, the better the delicateness of the captured picture and the clearer the outline.
1.25-inch Extension Tube
The 1.25-inch extension tube is suitable for astronomical telescopes with 1.25-inch mount. Use with a filter to watch the moon for better images.
C-mount Lens Adapter
The SV305 planetary camera can be used with a C lens. We designed the SV305 planetary camera with a C lens adapter. Use SV305 planetary camera with your C lens camera.
What should I do if the image is out of focus?
1. Whether the SV305 camera can be connected normally, and whether the software can recognize it normally. If the connection is normal, shake the telescope camera port with your hand to see if the screen responds. If there is a response, it proves that there is no problem with the sensor.
2. There is no problem with the connection. If you can’t see clearly, it should be a problem of not being in focus. You need to know what kind of astronomical telescope to use with the SV305 camera, what is the focal length and aperture of the telescope, whether it is equipped with a barlow lens, a focal reducer, etc.
3. It can be tested during the daytime. If SV305 telescope camera is far from the lens barrel and can display a clear picture, it means that a multiplier or extension tube needs to be added. If the telescope camera is close to the eyepiece and a clear image is displayed, it means that a focus lens needs to be added or subtracted.
4. The focal length is right, but still can’t see clearly, maybe it’s not in focus, so focus slowly, because the image is put into the telescope camera, the chip needs time to respond, and the focus needs to be adjusted slowly.
For the problem that the SV305 camera does not display the image:
1. Whether the computer recognizes the SV305 camera, (you can right-click my computer, click Manage, click Device Manager to see if the camera device is recognized) If the camera does not appear, do the following:
(1) Check whether the usb is connected well and whether the SV305 camera cover is open. Check whether the usb interface is connected to the correct usb interface.
(2) If all connections are correct, try changing the cables.
(3) There is a possibility that the SV305 camera is damaged or the wire is damaged.
2. If the camera can be recognized, open the software and the camera cannot recognize the SV305 camera:
(1) Compatibility between software and system.
(2) The protection software of the computer shields the SV305 camera and closes the protection software.
3. The USB interface on the front of the host may not work, you can change the interface to the interface on the back of the host.
4. Try changing the line.
5. Use the latest version of sharpcap software.
