I purchased the August DTA220 aerial for my bedroom and the picture quality is superb. The aerial is very small but don't let this put you off. It does not require batteries/mains power at all and you can pick up to 38 free view channels and around a dozen radio channels if you're just going to use the aerial directly into the tv rather than use it with a free view box etc. It's perfect for my bedroom for watching the main BBC STV ITV channels etc and saved me over 200.00 pounds getting a feed from my lounge to the bedroom which would had involved drilling through a wall. Range up to 100 miles although I'm only a few miles from the main transmitter in my area.

The August DTA220 is a small, simple, and adaptive aerial for indoor and outdoor use. Make the most of the freedom afforded by its 2m cable and universal Coaxial connection to breathe life into any portable or set-top TV/Freeview box. Unintrusive and able to be placed almost anywhere on its pasteable base, the DTA220 excels in hard-to-reach rooms and lofts, or cars and truck and tents!
Portable, Small HD Aerial
No batteries, charging, or mains connection are required for any step of using the DTA220. From connecting to the TV to scanning for channels and receiving broadcasts the little aerial is entirely self-sufficient. Use as a truck TV antenna without any extra energy spent or the risk of running out of charge mid-road trip!
The signals that the DTA220 picks up in this way are DVB-T and DVB-T2, as well as DAB Radio. This means not only is DAB Radio Portable with the DTA220 but that you can access over 100 Freeview and Freeview HD channels through this TV aerial outdoors or indoors.
Standard IEC/PAL Connector
The DTA220 twin-aerial has a standard coaxial IEC/PAL connector. This connection makes the device compatible with almost every TV not just in the UK but across Germany, France, The Netherlands and right the way to Singapore. When you go abroad you can use this same aerial to access local TV.
Please note:
Please note that reception quality is dependent on geographical factors. Your distance to the nearest regional transmitter, thick walls, large energy-consumption and some appliances (Fridges, Ovens, Air-Conditioning etc) will all affect the capacity of an aerial. It is advised you perform a channel scan with a powerful home aerial before switching to the DTA220 for future use. Please ensure your DTA220 is attached properly via the provided cable and is in contact with a magnetic object for best results. If problems persist, some TVs and Set-Top-Boxes have integrated antenna boosters which you can enable.
