EASY TO ASSEMBLY: No installation or tools required

STEP 1

Place the armrest in the desired position. Insert the adjustment wire and turn it clockwise until it is firmly fixed in the tube. Repeat the same steps to install the other armrest.

STEP 2

Attach the side holding suction cup into the inner tube. Then, join the armrests with the horizontal tube and fix them with the height adjustment threads.

STEP 3

Place it with the horizontal tube fully supported on the front of the toilet. Use the side suction cups to fix it on both sides of the toilet. Check that the armrests are adjusted to the correct height.

ADJUSTABLE IN THREE DIMENSIONS

WIDTH: 27" - 30"

The horizontal tube is adjusted to improve the rigidity of the frame. It can be adjusted in two angles and in two positions with different widths.

HEIGHT: 25" - 29"

The structure has 6 regulations, one every 0.6", to adjust the height of the armrest and adapt it to the user.

DEPTH: 18.5"

The armrests have two positions, use the adjustment buttons under the armrest to change the position forward or back and get more comfortable support.

IMPORTANT BEFORE BUYING: Check if it fits your toilet!

The structure fits standard toilets. Take these measurements to confirm that the frame can be attached to your toilet.

Identify points A and B, they have to be 12.5" from the ground, where you will fix the suction cups.
The distance between points A and B must be 12" to 18".
Between points A and B and the wall must be at least 6".

I have a condition which makes my legs very weak, and I was having trouble lifting myself off the toilet seat. The usual frames recommended by the NHS are unwieldy and do not have the support where I need it. This toilet frame is very well and strongly made and is fitted very easily. The frame is well out of the way of feet and will not trip you up. The arms are adjustable in height and will move back & forward as well. It gives plenty of opportunity to personalise according to your own requirements. It is easily moved out of the way for cleaning. Notwithstanding the fact that I absolutely hate having to have disability aids around my home, I will accept this one as it has taken a huge weight off my mind, giving me a comfortable way to use my arms to get myself upright. I would thoroughly recommend it.

The arms can be adjusted fore and back but I find the forward position best and no further adjustment needed. Why are the screws for the suction pads plastic and how strong are they - I would prefer metal?

After perusing available toilet safety frames to check size, adjustability and customer reviews, I chose this frame because I wanted to have a sturdy frame that was attached to the toilet and wouldn’t need to be replaced periodically. I liked that the product description gave precise measurements for all parts of the frame, which other products didn’t show as clearly. I laid all the parts out to be sure everything was included, got familiar with how the fastenings work, and had very little trouble assembling the frame and attaching it to the toilet. It is important to measure the space where the frame will fit, side to side, front to back, noting where the TP roll is. It’s also very important to look at the reference photos in the description so the parts that are attached to the toilet sides will actually rest on your toilet where they’re supposed to. There are measurements shown to help decide if this frame will work for you.
PROS. I didn’t need any tools or much strength. The main components are the sides that fasten to the front rail, and they are heavier than I expected. There is some adjustability for the width, the height of the armrests, and placement of the armrests towards the front or back. The assembly instructions are mostly pictures, which I appreciate so much more than words. It was easy to put together and check the measurements to keep everything centered. I am an older woman, not as strong or handy as I used to be and still had few problems. Once the frame is properly placed with the soft cups closed against the toilet sides, this is a very sturdy frame. It was easy for me to get used to where the front feet of the frame sit on the floor in relation to the bottom of the toilet. Because the frame is attached to the toilet, the feet didn’t slide around on my vinyl flooring as I put the frame in place.
CONS. The main components are heavy, so it might be helpful to have an assistant. Lining up the holes to set the height and width is a little fiddly. Not bad, but could be easier. There are only two setting for the width, so this isn’t as adjustable as some might prefer. I’m slightly larger than the average sized woman, and the narrower width works just fine for me. The height of the armrests is more adjustable but still fiddly as the holes need to be lined up, and you have to be sure the height is the same on both sides. While the armrests themselves can be positioned in one of two settings: either more forward or more to the back, it would be better if there were more settings here, perhaps including being able to move the armrests out of the way via a sort of hinge at the back. The armrests aren’t cushioned, not a problem for me, but might be for others.

No tools are needed to assemble it, and the assembly process is very simple and straightforward. This safety frame is designed and made in Spain. As a mechanical engineer myself, I appreciate a good design when I see it. In this case, they've engineered it just right: not over-engineered, but still paid enough attention to details to make it a very practical and even good-looking product. Highly recommend it. I just wish that there would be more adjustability for the width. The space between my toilet and a side wall is very small, and because not enough adjustment is possible, I wasn't able to center the frame onto the toilet. However, this is a very small issue and with just a hacksaw and a drill I can make it narrower. Still a very good product.
