We have a petTracer GPS cat tracker collar which sends the position from the collar to the Home Station using 433Mhz signals. The aerial on the Home Station is not very powerful so I often lose the signal when the cat is a few hundred yards away. With this antenna installed on the roof I can now follow him for in excess of ½ mile. This antenna is well made and was easy to install. I had to connect an additional SMA extension cable to the 3m one supplied but that was no problem and there seems no loss of signal because of the long run of cable. I appreciate that this is a very specific use of the antenna but I can highly recommend it. I did smear the threads with Vaseline so that bad weather won't affect it.
