This was bought to replace a Sistema fish steamer of a similar size, since they only seem to do long ones now, which would not fit in our microwave.
It works perfectly - with a little water or milk to poach, or without, to be more like a grilled effect.
It's actually better than the Sistema, since the lid is higher, so even plump salmon steaks don't get squashed against it.
I wish it said whether it was BPA free or not - but since the fish skin is the only part that touches it, I'm still very happy with it.
