Well, this is hard for me to say if itis good for the monitors or not as I didn't use the stand for this purpose.
so first off it is easy to put together and feels strong ( even some joints was too tight to move ).
it comes with both fixings and when I first opened the box I though they looked nice and strong enough for what they are made for. Ive used them to stand my pc speakers off the desk I have set it up behind my 32" monitor and with a little extension bracket got them just either side of the monitor. which looks great keeping the desk clear of speakers and wires. I put it up in 15 minuets so very easy.
