I was about to spend 4 times the cost of this light on an aluminium version but thought I'd give this a try first. I wasn't expecting too much but I'm very pleased with this product. Although all plastic, this headlamp is well-made and certainly bright enough. I was looking for a something which also had red LEDs to use for astronomy to preserve my night vision but most budget lights had quite dim red LEDs. This one is nice and bright. I particularly like the memory function which remembers the last setting so that when I switch it on I can have it start with the red lights. The headband is comfortable with plenty of adjustment for even the largest heads. A bargain!

I use this for early dog walks and is great. I wear a woolly hat with the torch over as I wouldn’t find it comfortable direct on my forehead but over the hat its comfy. I find it useful to adjust the direction of the beam and like that I can choose what type of light, and I use both the soft and bright white beam. It is lightweight as no large batteries and is rechargeable. Good price. Highly recommend.

Is only 200 lumin, then maybe 150 lumin white light and red light. I use flash red light to be safe on kick scooter. Strap is good with adjustable size. Battery lasts well on dim white led and the red light. Great as rechargeable. Button works as it should with operation. If using AAA batteries in a 200 lumin led torch batteries would last just a couple of hours.
Good light for the money, and good that I feel safer at night scootering.

The white light has 2 brightness levels which is very useful, and strobes which add a level of safety on dark roads. If you hold down the power button it will switch off and remember the last mode you were using - crucial when you only want to use the red light.

Where I'd say it could improve would to be a bit lighter and smaller. This may sacrifice battery life but that would be my personal preference. And if the red light could also have 2 brightness modes - perhaps just using one set of dimmed LEDs - for up-close things like map reading in the dark when you really don't want to be visible.
