Firstly, like all other salty liquorice/licorice that I’ve come across, the “salt” in this is ammonium chloride, not sodium chloride.
The good news is that unlike some Danish salted liquorice sweets, this one isn’t a gummy or hard boiled sweet, but a good-quality softish liquorice.
The value for money isn’t as good as some rivals, these sweets are large, uniform fish shapes that don’t last long in the mouth.
They start to dissolve after a couple of minutes sucking.
The penguin-themed packaging looks designed to appeal to small children, but please don’t give these to little ones. The strong salty taste almost certainly won’t appeal. Adventurous teens and adults will love them.
