Flashing light legend for correct connections:
(1) Ethernet cable:
Main tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
Remote tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
(2) Six-core telephone cable:
Main tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
Remote tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6
The ethernet port tester has two different speeds. "On" mode is a little faster in terms of test speed and "S" mode makes it easier to observe matching lights during the test. The G light can be used to detect whether the cable is shielded or not.
Indicator light display for incorrect connections:
(1) If there is a short circuit in the cable (e.g, between wire 4 and wire 5), the lights for wire 4 and wire 5 on both the main tester and remote tester will not light up.
Main tester: 1-2-3¨C6-7-8-G
Remote tester: 1-2-3¨C6-7-8-G
(2) If multiple wires are short-circuited, the corresponding lights on both testers will not light up.
(3) If multiple cables are not connected (3 or more), all indicator lights will not light up.
(4) If the cable ends are crossed, for example, wires 4 and 5 are switched, it will display:
Main tester: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
Remote tester: 1-2-3-5-4-6-7-8-G
