Anyone who uses a digital camera will know the frustration of your battery running out just at the wrong moment. The OEM batteries from Sony for my camera are almost £70 each, so when I saw this Neewer option where you get 3 batteries and a charger for just a little bit more, ny interest was piqued. The issue I've often had with third party batteries is where the camera software doesn't recognise the batteries and you lose some of the functionality that the camera offers.

The capacity of these batteries is quoted as 2280mAh which is the same as the OEM batteries from Sony, thats a good start. I've run a comparison between the orognal Sny battery in my camera and one of these replacements and at this time I look to get over 600 shots from a charge on both batteries so that's a second tick in the box.

The next question is whether the camera recognises the battery. I've had no issues with any of the three batteries and just ran a firmware update and the batteries are still happily recognised.

All in all then the batteries are a great replacement for the OEM battery, hold just as much charge and are recognised by the camera. Three batteries are slightly more expensive than one single OEM battery and the charger provides simple charging on the go. You can even plug it into a powerbank if you have one that's large enough.

All in all a good purchase and I now have less anxiety abut running out of batteries on a longer shoot.

Neewer are one of the companies I have come to trust, their quality has never let me down.
These batteries come part charged (as you would expect) and charge perfectly with zero warmth while charging.

The operation while in the camera is as expected, not quite as good as a Sony battery, but not far from it, and being I use a dual battery grip on all my cameras, having 2 of these gives more than ample power for a long shoot.

The charging plate works well, nice to have the option of charging via USB-C or Micro-USB - there is a only a short USB-A to USB-C charging cable supplied, no Micro USB cable.

The charging plate has 3 independent LCD status displays - marked with 4 levels per battery. Each one will show the status of its associated battery.

A really nice feature of the charging base, is that WITHOUT having any power applied to it, if you insert a battery, the display for that slot will light up and show the approx. charge status of that battery - 25% to 49%, 50%-74%, 75% to 100%.

Overall, at £80.99 December 2022, without any vouchers), I would say that is great value - 3 decent NP-FZ100 batteries and charging base, from a company I trust.

An easy 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ imho.

The media could not be loaded.

After two hours of charging, still no movement on the battery indicators. Are the batteries faulty or the charger? It’s anyone’s guess. I can’t call and speak to anyone, which seems to be the standard now. I can’t even call and speak to anyone at the GP’s, so why I thought this service might be different, I’ve got no idea. The only option I can see if for me to email. We’ll see how long it takes to get a reply.

These batteries run and last just as well and long as the battery my Sony A9 came with and I haven’t had any issues with them yet. For the price considering the alternative is going to Sony themselves and paying a fortune, I think it’s very reasonable. Being able to charge three batteries at once is a true lifesaver. Before I was simply charging one at a time. You will never run out of these.

I expected the charger dock to be larger than it is. It is quite compact which is nice as it easily fits into your pocket or camera bag. Aesthetically it looks and feels high-end. I was surprised it came with a screen protector. Given the finish, that might be a good thing as I can imagine the device easily showing scratches.

The screen is brilliant as it gives individual readings of the battery level and charging process of each, individual battery. three batteries and a charging dock, what more could you ask for? Highly recommend it to anyone with a compatible device. It saves money in the long run and they are just as good as the originals.

UPDATE: I updated to firmware 2.01 and now the camera is complaining and giving the infamous, "The operation and safety cannot be guaranteed. Continue use?" and you have to choose between "OK" and "Cancel". :/ When you select Cancel, the camera will work and then after a while the message will appear and your camera will "pause" when the message re-appears again. Select the "OK" and the message goes away and it continues to work as expected. Annoying, yes - but this is more so on Sony than Neweer. The batteries still hold lots of charge and work well. DO expect that charging takes "forever" especially if you are charging three dead batteries. If you want a battery to charge faster - then just charge one battery! Oh, and make sure you're using a USB charger that has sufficient output. If you have a 0.5A USB adapter, it'll be super slow!

I have the A7iv with firmware 2.00 on it. I was concerned that it would show a compatible error because these are third party batteries but I've used all three and no problems show up.

I can get a full day's shoot with them. Took about 1000 shots at a great volleyball tournament my daughter was playing at. Shot in burst mode with the mechanical shutter. Didn't have to worry about running out of batteries because I had three other batteries waiting in the wings!

Just be sure to label your batteries so you know which one you've used up already and which ones are charged and ready to go!

Lastly, having three spare batteries and a charger than can charge three at once is nice. Just be aware that charging speeds is dependent on the number of batteries you're charging at once.

Keep in mind that it does NOT come with a power adapter. It does have micro and USB-C for power inputs. It did come with a short USB cable.

TL;DR - it now show compatibility errors. Just select "OK" and it will work with your camera.
