I was surprised to find when I got the box that it was "waterproof" . Usually they list it at the top of the page with the blurb at the side of the product page. But you have to go down to the bottom to find out it was water resistant.
The zippers aren't air tight so water can get through them. But everything else is waterproof. I ran the faucet right ontop of the case and to the back where there are no zippers and not a drop of water got in.
Its a sturdy light case and is perfect for the price. I don't have a car so I take a large double zipper ziplock bag for my hour long walk to the park. And I would say thats enough protection
I fortunately dont take my steamdeck anywhere but with the switch being much lighter and this nonosense sturdy light case I've actually been taking the Switch outside.
