Excellent quality Tripod Leveling Base from Neewer made from excellent materials and will last a very long time if treated correctly.

Neewer always produce great products and this is no exception.

This is smaller than I thought it was going to be but it easily manages my Camera and different lenses, it is very easy to use BUT I will admit I did get caught out with how to release the quick release plate and had to read the manual. You move the safety lock to the unlock button and then push the safety lock in.

The tilt levelling is amazing and this is the feature I like the most and this is always in my camera bag now.

My only grumble is with the 360 degree rotation it is too stiff for me personally liking but it is starting to loosen naturally but has taken a long time to do this.

It comes with a allen key which is a nice touch BUT this is too big to use on anything on the levelling base so I can only assume it is for your tripod.

Overall I am very happy with the tripod levelling base and I would definitely recommend it

I have ball heads of varying descriptions but wanted to have something more maneuverable for my monopod.

This is an interesting if not slight odd head. It's smaller than some ball heads but bigger than the small balls. Lighter than some of my ball heads but heavier than others.

What's interesting to me is that the range of motion is smaller. You can only "level" by a relatively small angle so in that sense it is less flexible that a ball head. It does have 2 advantages though: (1) it's easier to reposition / level, and (2) 360 degree rotation is much easier than a ball head.

It's built impeccably. Excellent quality. Knobs are solid and easy to turn and big enough to actually grasp.

Overall I will be leaving this on my monopod. Not suitable for a tripod. I do feel though that I will need to carry a ball mount too in case I need more flexibility.

Issue With The Tilting Mechanism

Sadly, I am unable to recommend this levelling base from Neewer. Whilst the parts seem well made and up to their usual standards, there is an issue with the movement mechanism of the bowl itself.

When tilting the head, the friction should be such that when applying a constant pressure, there should be a consistent smooth movement no matter which direction you tilt the head in. However, with the item I received, there is a section in the middle of the bowl��s movement area where this friction is a lot less. As a result, when you add pressure to tilt the head, you often suddenly feel a ��jump�� of up to 20? as you hit this area, before the friction returns and the head continues to move smoothly. Even when using the lightest of pressures, this ��jump�� effect still happens. This issue makes it harder than necessary to level the base if you a taking a picture of a static subject, and makes it especially frustrating if you are tracking a moving subject.

I��m usually impressed by Neewer��s products, but in this case either I received a defective item, or there is a fundamental flaw with the tilting mechanism. Either way, I can only give this a below average two stars.

I do a lot of photography and video shooting etc. I wanted a head that can rotate left and right, vice versa. And also to tilt in various angles like a bowl.
This Neewer head had what I needed. The heads red lever presses in slick and releases the top plate. This plate screwed into the base of my DLSR camera, which then mounts onto the head in a slick smooth and precisely. It seats rock solid and I am impressed with the tolerances. Both genrerously large lock/unlock hob-nailed knobs turn precisely, and feels an absolute delight to turn. The dome head tilts and angles in many combinations. I like that, as I test for the best angle and position. The upper plate rotates left and right in increments to 180�� back and forth. The spirit level is a useful feature. When I operate the head, everything feels professional, slick smooth and locks exact. The whole unit oozes of quality workmanship and build. The anodised aluminium alloy and steel parts look luxurious and a joy to use.
It got me the precise angles and then quick changes and locks in seconds. I can now keep my eyes on the subject as I make micro adjustments as I go along.
In some shoots, getting exact degrees position and angles are critical. I am very happy with this head that can both work with 3/8" or 1/4" tripod screw hole.
I think this product represents excellent value for money.

Unfortunately, the quick release plate has a lot of play in it when a camera is mounted on it which makes it totally unsuitable when absolute steadiness is required. Unfortunately I am going to have to return it and look for a different leveling base.

Fate attenzione alla regolazione dell'angolo, che �� piuttosto limitata (��15��). Non essendo una testa a sfera, non �� possibile orientare l'obiettivo troppo verso l'alto o il basso.

Ho solo trovato assurdo che la piastra GM13 non sia compatibile con la piastra CA009 venduta separatamente. Possiedo entrambe e vorrei poter spostare la piastra da un treppiede all'altro. Per un pelo non ci entra. ? davvero un decimo di millimetro. Se le due piastre Neewer fossero compatibili, sarebbe davvero un accessorio perfetto.

Der Sockel verspricht eine sichere und flexible Befestigung der Kamera auf einem Stativ dank des schwenkbaren Kugelkopfes. Im Folgenden werde ich auf Material, Verarbeitung, Design, Verwendung, Stabilit?t, Preis-Leistung und mein Fazit eingehen.

Material und Verarbeitung
Der Nivelliersockel besteht aus solidem Aluminium und macht einen robusten Eindruck. Die Verarbeitung ist ordentlich, die beweglichen Teile lassen sich gut justieren und sitzen ohne Spiel. Die Schnellwechselplatte und der Gewindeanschluss sind aus Metall gefertigt.

Design und Optik
