This Neewer head had what I needed. The heads red lever presses in slick and releases the top plate. This plate screwed into the base of my DLSR camera, which then mounts onto the head in a slick smooth and precisely. It seats rock solid and I am impressed with the tolerances. Both genrerously large lock/unlock hob-nailed knobs turn precisely, and feels an absolute delight to turn. The dome head tilts and angles in many combinations. I like that, as I test for the best angle and position. The upper plate rotates left and right in increments to 180° back and forth. The spirit level is a useful feature. When I operate the head, everything feels professional, slick smooth and locks exact. The whole unit oozes of quality workmanship and build. The anodised aluminium alloy and steel parts look luxurious and a joy to use.
It got me the precise angles and then quick changes and locks in seconds. I can now keep my eyes on the subject as I make micro adjustments as I go along.
In some shoots, getting exact degrees position and angles are critical. I am very happy with this head that can both work with 3/8" or 1/4" tripod screw hole.
I think this product represents excellent value for money.
