- Fill filter with water before plugging in. (The pump must not run dry.)
- The minimum water level in the tank should be no more than 1 inch below the aquarium rim.
What should I do If the priming process doesn't occur?

Verify that all parts are installed CORRECTLY and FIRMLY. Fill up the water in the filter case and fish tank as much as possible. Make sure the flow control valve is firmly installed and in the position of maximum flow.
How to fit on a framed fish tank?

Gently pull the intake tube to fit on the rim. The width between intake tube and housing is 1.3 cm.

Why is my filter so loud?
- Leveling knob need to be adjusted to reduce vibration.
- Air does not evacuate from filter. Check the sealing of flow control valve.
- Aquarium water level is lower than normal level, which results in excessive splash. Fill up the water in the fish tank.
- Impeller is worn and needs to be replaced.

Does the filter tube extend? Does the water have to be filled to the top to use?

Yes, it includes the additional tube to extend. It will be better to fill filter case completely with water before it starts. Otherwise, it will take some time to pump water up. (Water must at least cover the motor.)

What if the motor doesn't start or makes a mechanical noise?

Make sure the impeller is free to rotate.

After a powerout, will this filter restart on its own?

Yes, the motor will restart by itself once the power turns on.

Can I use this in a turtle tank?

It is not recommended for turtle tanks.

How often would I have to change the cartridge and intake sponge?

Regular cleaning of the filter and its parts every two weeks. Replace filter cartridge monthly and replace intake sponge every 2-3 months.

I am new to ' fish keeping '. Spent a small fortune on the learning curve. This filter has impressed me. Easy to set up and my goodness does it filter the water! I've had to clean this more than the other filters I've used because it removes more waste. It is only suitable for a nano tank as the only filter. I've used it in addition for a 30 ltr tank and by adding this it's kept the water cristal clear. I keep minnows so a strong filter is detrimental to the fish as they are not strong enough to swim away from the pull of the filter so by using a less powerful in tank filter and this nicrew waterfall filter, I have very happy fish and a healthy tank.

Been trying for almost a month to have this filter work smoothly after following the instructions, keeping the correct water level, etc. - unfortunately I must have a faulty filter. The impellor sticks, so keeps completely stopping although the motor's still running attempting to spin the impellor. I've tried filing down the cylindrical part of the impellor so that it stops getting caught, which fixes it for a little while, then it stops again

Had to decide on fully getting rid of this filter now, the impellor got caught again after maybe 2 weeks of working fine, I've been working and didn't notice, and the pump is now extremely hot and probably dangerous from trying to spin the stuck impellor
