Ok, the good stuff... It's a lot quieter than I was expecting and extracts a surprising amount of water out of the air. It's reasonably stylish and looks like a PC although I would have preferred not to have the handle fixed as the unit is designed to be placed with it's left side up against the wall (hiding the power cable and optional drainage hose) so the handle sticks out to the right when you look at it which jars my OCD needs for symmetry.

Not so good... They claim it has 3 operating modes but in reality they're the same. Continuous mode sets the target humidity to the lowest setting (40%), Comfort mode sets the target to an average (50%) and Settings mode allows you to set a target. The unit does not shut off when it reaches its target, instead it keeps the fan running and throttles the compressor to maintain the desired humidity.

The worst... All I wanted it to do was to turn on when the humidity rises above 60% and turn off when it drops below 50%. Simple right? After all it has Smartlife automations right? It does indeed, you can use less than, equal to, or greater than as triggers based on the humidity sensor BUT someone in the R&D department forgot that the unit stops broadcasting the sensor reading when it's switched off (standby) so in my example, it will turn off when it reaches 49% but it will NEVER turn on as the sensor reading in Smartlife, Google Home and Alexa never gets updated and stays at 49%.

The only workaround is to schedule the unit to turn on (mine is 3am, 9am, 3pm and 9pm), then wait a minute (so the reported sensor readings rise above your "turn off" target) before enabling your turn off automation.

It never ceases to amaze me when products have fundamental flaws that just a few hours of testing would have identified. Reminds me of a kettle I bought with a handle designed to burn your hand with steam every time you poured boiling water!
