Multi-function Crimping Tool Set - The RJ45 crimping tool can be used for Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a/Cat7 pass-through RJ45 plugs. It's built-in stripper and cutter allow you to complete stripping, cutting, and crimping tasks with just one tool. We also provide a network tester and wire stripping and cutting tool for your convenience in operation and signal detection.
RJ45 Pass-through Connectors CAT6 - The pass-thru design of the connectors allows you to easily check the wire sequence or second wiring. The 8P8C pins are made of phosphor bronze and 50�� gold-plated to prevent metal oxidation and provide a stable transmission network environment. They are suitable for Cat6/Cat5e/Cat5 network cables (wire diameter: 0.93 mm-1.04 mm).
Ethernet Crimping Tool - The wire stripper allows you to adjust the pressure according to different cable depths and easily strip the outer jacket. The sharp blades can cleanly cut the wires. The crimping hole allows for crimping and cutting off excess wires in one step. The non-slip handle is easy to grip and operate, and the lock design can save space when not in use.
LAN Cable Tester - The RJ45 tester can check the continuity, confusion, or short circuit of network cables and RJ11 phone lines. The main unit and remote unit can be separated via a slide rail, allowing you to check the cable from both ends, supporting long-distance testing of up to 200 meters.

Got these because I want cheap and cheerful, knew they weren't going to be top quality but want to save some money... mine lasted a month! The crimper teeth on the rj45 crimp have fallen apart to the point where it's unusable... don't buy these, save a bit and invest in a decent set.

I've got this mainly for the cable testing as I'm fed up trying to buzz out network cables using my DVM. A 9V battery (not supplied) is required for the cable tester master box. The tester master and remote box can be slid apart if you have a long run through a wall or something but then you'll need a second person and that's where this kit could prove to be of limited use for some.

The kit is really useful for replacing broken plugs that no longer hold in place in the printer/computer or router

The cut/strip/crimp tool works very effectively. There's also a mini wire stripper for stripping back the inner wire insulation - I did not use this.

The cable tester can test for open circuits or crossed connections. It sends a voltage sequentially down each line illuminating the corresponding line on the master terminal and the remote terminal illuminates accordingly. If there's no illumination on the remote terminal then that line is open circuit. I tested both normal operation and then installed a cable with a crossed connection between line 4 and 6. The tester worked as anticipated as can be seen in the pictures.

I've found this a very useful piece of kit and the price is reasonable.

If you need to do the odd cable every now and again then this is a perfect kit for that. The kit comes with what you need to get going. The pass through crimper is great as it allows you to wire up your cable without thinking about the length of the wires (it's a bit of an art form to get it right). it comes with a wire stripper, cable tester and a number of RJ45 plugs all within a nice little pouch. It also comes with spare blades which is great as over time. It also comes with a standard pair of wire cutters.

Can't really fault the kit, worked well, the price is reasonable and this is something that I'll always keep handy as part of my data centre kit (might leaver it there).

At the time of writing this review, this RJ45 crimping kit costs $45.99. There is also a $10 coupon available for a total discounted price of $35.99.

I have been helping my buddy wire up his new house and I needed this kit so many times. We're running RJ45 throughout the house for hard wiring. To get a box of RJ45 and doing the crystals ourselves, we saved over $1,000 - compared to buying pre-cut and crystal'd lengths.

A similar kit at staples costs over $100. This has more things in it, and costs less than half. No brainer.

The crimping tool is good. I had no issues with it, in over 50 crimps in one day. It's easy and comfortable to use, even many many times back to back. The contoured handle makes the crimp itself easy, and doesn't strain the wrist. With that being said, the crimping tool doesn't seem to be the strongest and I can see it wearing down already.

This kit came with almost enough parts to do a whole home hard wire install. Other than a bag of crystals, and a 1000 foot box of cable, this kit had everything else we needed to do the whole house.

The tester is great. Since my buddy was doing one side, and I was doing the other, we'd always finish by testing the cable to make sure all the connections were correctly wired. The tester is super easy to work, and intuitive. I don't think they could make it easier to use.

The hard shell case has more than enough room to carry everything inside, plus room for more crystals or any other odds and ends you need.

For doing one home, this is a great kit. If I had to do this for a job, I would probably go for a name brand, higher end tool like Klein.

I've used VCELINLK RJ45 crimp on connectors before and found them to be good so I thought I'd try out this Crimping tool set. You get 25 RJ45 pass through connectors in this kit. The connectors in this kit are good quality however the tools are just OK.

The flush cut wire cutters work good for soft Category cable but not intended for hard AWG14 electrical cable. They work well as long as you're cutting soft cable but struggle or even dent when cutting hard wire.

The yellow wire stripper is really basic. It's the kind you get for free sometimes at the electrical wholesale counter.

The crimper is small and compact. It's easy to carry in your tool belt and easy to use. Unfortunately the cutter blades dull quickly. Once the blades get dull the crimper does not cut all the wires and becomes increasingly frustrated to use.

The circuit 'Polarity' tester is junk. It's cheap plastic and awkward to use.

The best two parts to this kit are the Passthrough connectors and the carry case.

Overall this crimping tool kit is just OK. It would work well for a home owner DIYer's that needs to terminate a couple of RJ45 cables in the home. I would not recommend it for electrical, network or security technicians.

If all you need to do is terminate a couple or RJ45 cables then this kit might work for you. If you need to terminate more than 20 connectors, or want longer lasting tools I would spend a little more money and get a kit with a better tester and crimping tool. This crimping tool set is currently priced at $35.99 with discount coupon. I've tried others between $80-$150 with better testers and tools .

I personally wouldn't order this again.
