Edit: there's a lot to like about this cage, but what I discovered is that it sits about a half-inch above the top of the camera, which interested with adding a hot-shoe mount flash.
Got this for my a6700. It does exactly as it says and doesn't block any ports, doors, or anything. The only complaints I have are that I have to remove the neck strap loops and there are no instructions in the box.
I use my camera 50% of the time on a tripod, so this cage is useful, but the other 50% is hand-held, when having a strap is added security. Because I have to remove the strap anchors to install the cage, swapping back and forth isn't simple, so I am a little conflicted about use.
Although there are no instructions, it's not hard to figure out that the cage screws into the tripod mount and the places where the strap loops are. This is the only place on the camera with accessible screws, so they're meant to come off. I like that the cage attaches with multi-points, because that insures the cage is secure when I add accessories to it or mount it to a rig.
It has many useful screw points and a cold shoe.
