I have used this item on the corner of picture frames to elevate them slightly and to help prevent marks developing over time due to the transfer of paint from the frame onto the wall.
They have good adhesion to any none porous surface but also bond adequatley yo non porous surfaces such as untreated wood.
With the money as they do the job.
