There are times I want to thread the bolt quickly but want to then tighten once it gets to the surface. I usually have to switch between a screwdriver nut driver and then to a socket wrench. This little guy does the job of both with its swiveling head. This is particularly useful for assembling those knock down metal shelves and similar furniture. And for its size, its pretty sturdy and durable with surprisingly good finishing and functionality. The knurled ring to switch the direction of the wrenching takes a little effort as it's rather smooth and small and I have size XL hands with matching beefy fingers. And it took me a New York minute to figure out how to release the socket (you depress the back in the center of the knurled ring).
It's small size also means it doesn't take much space in my already packed workshop. It's definitely handy to have and it fills that small niche between the screwdriving motion for fast threading of the nut and wrenching for greater torque. It's worth having one in the toolbox.
