As anyone with a Quest1/2/3 will know, the battery life is not great, averaging between 2 and 3 hours of gameplay, so a battery extender is essential for longer gaming sessions and this twin pack of 20000 mWh will help that.

Inside the box you get 2 20000 mWh battery packs, each offering between 3 and 4 hours extra gameplay so in theory you could well get between 8 and 11 hours of playtime, swapping between the battery packs and the headset, although I would suggest regular breaks from playing.

The batteries are quite compact, with an on/off switch, 4 led lights showing the battery power left and a handy clip to clip over your Quest head strap. Note that if you are using a non standard headset strap, it will be tight to get this over the arm if the arm is thicker.

I do need to mention that The listing shows as having a 20000mWh battery, unlike many others that show in mAh, and from a quick search we find that 20000 mWh is equivalent to 4000-5405 mAh depending on voltage, and in this case the battery is a 3.7v )see picture) so 5405 mAh. The Quest 2 itself has a 3640 mAh internal battery which will give between 2 and 3 hours, hence this offering a further 3-4 hours on top of that. I do get the feeling that the listing has been shown like this in the hope that you won't notice the mWh/mAh difference as 20000 looks better than 5000.

One other thing to remember is that using a battery pack will not keep the headset at 100% battery until the external battery is empty, and then use the internal battery. What will happen is that as you are playing, the internal battery will be used at a slower rate as the external battery trickle charges until it is empty.

Overall, this is a handy pair of external battery packs, offering 5000mAh capacities to help keep your sessions going for longer

SECURITY:
With an off-brand headset strap, this portable charger can ‘attach’ onto it, but it’s more of a loose hang (see video).
So far it’s been secure, although I would be concerned for games that require rapid up and down looking motions, as it may fly off.

BATTERY:
I started with my VR fully charged & with the charger plugged in. After 1.5hrs of gameplay, my VR was still at 94%!
I’ve been told not to keep electronics fully charged at all times, so I’m going to try plugging the portable in when I’m about half battery to see if it’s still effective at maintaining and raising battery levels

With these, you seem to get twice the battery life, at least. My nephew is the main one who uses these on his Oculus. He keeps both charged up and can get 2-4 times the play time when he gets into his gaming sessions with his friends. That's pretty amazing, and they are easy to use, as you just connect it and clip it on; it's like it's not even there.
