I already had a top mounted cooling fan with led lights on my Xbox X however it never really worked very well and if even lightly knocked it would fall off. I ordered this unit as a replacement in the hopes that it would be better and I haven't been disappointed.

On opening, this device looks to be nicely made from a decent quality plastic with no burrs or sharp edges. The LEDs and buttons are nicely set into the casing forming a very sleek and modern looking unit. With the added benefit of having a headphone mount attached this is the perfect companion.

Fitting this to the Xbox X is a simple process of plugging in the cable to a spare USB port and placing the case to the top of the gaming machine. Once mounted I turned the Xbox on and this unit lit up at which time I could choose from several lighting options for colour so as to match my other lighting as best as is possible. As well as the lighting this has a fan built in for extra cooling with the control buttons at the front. I do find the fan to be rather loud but no more so than my old unit was so this seems to just be something that they all have and when gaming with the volume at a normal level the fan noise pretty much becomes unnoticeable and I only really need to use the fans when playing a GPU intensive game.

This unit is much tidier looking than my old one and I love the way that the LED can show the temperature giving me an easy way to keep things at the right level. The overall look of this device matches with the Xbox X perfectly making it the perfect addition and enhancing the rather bland square black box that is the Xbox X, lol. It is a little expensive but it has been nicely made and does work well.

As anyone who've attached external drives to Xboxes will know, they can run hot, so getting extra cooling is a great way to preserve the components and unit over the long term.

It looks great and fits very well on the Xbox, with the headphone stand doubling up equally well as a controller stand. The buttons and electronics all feel and work very well.

The only gripe they've not considered is, the cooling both switches on and off at around 36℃ degrees, meaning the fan will bounce on and off continually every minute or so as the temperature creeps above 37, and then is cooled to just below. It would have been better to raise the activation temperature and then simply turn on for 2 mins to even out the switching events.

The fan is reasonably audible, which isn't a problem for noisy games like Call of Duty, or if you have headphones, but can be distracting if you're playing a quiet game.

In summary - if you're an heavy user of high-load gaming and/or a headphone user, this unit is a good choice to preserve your Xbox, and keeping the electronics firing efficiently. If you're a low-load user who likes quieter, adventure games, this won't be necessary.

The first thing I would like to say is that of you are not a serious gamer who plays for hours on end then you probably don't need this cooling fan, as in normal operation the Xbox just doesn't heat up that much as it is a well designed box. However, if you are a serious gamer OR you have your Xbox in a place where it is not well aerated and it tends to heat up then this is a very handy device that does a good job and looks really stylish.

This cooling fan seems to have all the bells and whistles, with adjustable temperature settings and four cooling gears, it allows you to fine-tune the fan speed based on your console's temperature, ensuring optimal cooling performance.

What makes it look really stylish is the 9 RGB light modes, which are customisable to however you like the lights to be displayed and they make your Xbox look cool as well as feel cool. The LED display shows the current temperature, providing a clear and real-time indication of your Xbox's condition. The cooling system operates quietly, which is a great if you have others in the room that you don't want to disturb, assuming you are using a headset in the first place; and the fan chassis actually includes a hook for the headset. It also has a USB port built in which is a bonus as you can charge your phone off it or connect other devices that need USB power.

The reason why I have given this 4 stars is because I think it is too pricey for what it is. The primary function is to keep the Xbox cool, so the features like the USB port, LED lights, and hook for your headset are all additional extras that they could easily do away with to keep the price down. Personally I think they should do two versions of this - one without all the extras and without the rather high price tag, and also a cut down version that just does what you want and simply keeps your Xbox cool but at a much cheaper price.

This is the best accessory I have bought for my xbox. This prevents the common problem of the xbox overheating resulting in less game time.
This Auto Cooling fan is brilliant and although should just be included in any console of this day and age. It mounts well to the top of the unit and almost looks standard.
I keep the two together all the time and always switch the fan off when I switch off the xbox.
It also has a tidy headphone mount which is allocated to the rear so your headphones sit above the xbox which is also a nice solid feature.

I would highly recommend this product.

I love my xbox, but unfortunately it tends to overheat when I game for watch tv for a long time. Pretty typical. This is really bad for it and can cause issues while gaming especially.

I like that this cooling fan has an auto setting. I leave it on that because it will kick on if my xbox starts to get too hot. But you also have 3 varying fan speeds that pull air through the xbox if you'd rather the fan just run all the time. The fan isn't crazy loud but it's not silent either.

The lights are really a nice touch and make this fun! You can set them as solid colors, or the last setting scrolls through all of them. It's not a super obnoxious light pattern either.

This is meant to be used with the series X standing up but I have mine lying down on it's side due to space restrictions and I've yet to have a single issue with this falling off or not working how it should. The cord that plugs into the back usb port is pretty short but I like that because not only is it one less ugly cord to deal with, but it helps hold this snug to the top of my xbox while it's on it's side. It does also have a usb port on the front of this cooling fan so you're not left without one just to run this.
I don't currently use the headset stand that came with it since my space won't allow it but I look forward to using it in the future when I have a different entertainment center. If you have an Xbox gamer in your family or friend group and you're looking for a good gift, I highly recommend this. It's great quality for being under $20!

In the past, I’ve had to create my own version of a cooling fan solution. Mostly because I thought fans like this were some sort of gimmick. But not so with this fan.

It is designed well. And by that, I mean it has a large, quiet fan. That’s the key. Secondly, it is temperature activated. I love that. And thirdly, the engineering is spot-on. It is far better to pull air through a unit that try and push it. Provided, of course, that the fan operates at a higher speed (throughput) than the fan within the Xbox. Which this one appears to do.

Lastly, I run with my Xbox on its side. I was dubious that this unit would stay on. I’m happy to say, it does. I use some black electrical tape to seal off the unit to the Xbox. I don’t really have to do this, but I wanted to be sure that it pulls all the air through the Xbox and not allow any to seep through those gaps. It works great!

Overheating an Xbox is bad. It’s horrible in the middle of a game. And, I’m sure it’s not great for the Xbox itself. Don’t wait for your Xbox to overheat, get this unit or one like it. Especially if your Xbox isn’t in an ideal setting.

If you have an Xbox Series X, then you probably know that they run hot. Very hot. The plug and play install on this is super easy. It snaps right inside the vent holes that are already there, then plugs into the USB that is on the back of the game box. It is black and matches my black console as if it came with it. It does not stand out as separate, it appears seamless. I'm really impressed. Even though the product uses one of the USB ports on the back of the console, it also adds another one, right on the front. Yesterday, it was running very hot, so we installed this, and after a little bit of time, it brought the temperature down from 114-117 degrees to 103-105 degrees (fluctuates). Today, we turned it on as soon as my grandson started playing and it never got over 95 degrees. The temperature is shown in LED lights on the front. It defaults to Celsius but it very easily changes to Fahrenheit if you press Auto 2x There is an auto, low, medium, and high setting on the fan.

It is surrounded by fun looking LED lights, that kind of look like a heartbeat monitor. It comes with a rotating mode, then nine other colors. This thing is really awesome. I most certainly recommend it. I think is works with Series S, as well. It has a hook for a headset, but I can't comment because it promptly got misplaced. The product comes with an easy to understand user manual.
