How does eufy Indoor Cam E30's spotlight work?

The built-in spotlight enhances night vision by providing additional illumination. By default, the spotlight is off. To enable it:

Go to the App

Navigate to Settings Light Settings->> Enable Light->> Motion for Lights.

Does eufy Indoor Cam E30 support HomeKit?

Yes, it supports HomeKit, but the resolution is limited to 1080p due to HomeKit's restrictions. It also works with Smart Displays using ��غ�� Alexa and Google Assistant.

I am no expert in home security cameras, but if you are looking for a quality camera to monitor pets, a room, or a hallway in your house then this could be ideal. The playback on the video is really sharp, and you can at least store it locally instead of being forced to pay for a cloud service.

I think that it is a shame that there is not some sort of long life battery pack, as it needs to be powered from the mains which relies on there being a power socket near to where you want to mount, or place, the camera, that is a little restrictive.

The setup was relatively easy, although the sound the camera made was a constant squealing which got louder, I wasn't sure if it was interference, or some sort of alarm.

The camera is pretty visible, so you wouldn't use it as a nanny cam, but it is light and sturdy feeling, and not too big to take up loads of space.

If you already have a Eufy home setup, then maybe this will be a nice addition to the camera network, and if you want a pet cam you could do a lot worse than this.

As with many of these security cameras they are only as good as the application behind them.
With this on the build quality of the camera is very good and it is immediately clear it is a well thought out device. From the start of where the USB cable fits into a recessed area in the base (no messy connector to get to) through to its silent operation it never disappoints.
So about that app. I have never had a camera set up so quickly, it really was super easy. Download the app and start, no going into phone settings back and forth, just follow the instructions, point phone camera at the QR code and it does the rest.
After that ther is a whole array of customisations you can do.
There is a little lag from live to the picture you see on the screen but that is to be expected, it��s certainly not a deal breaker.
Storage is handled locally by an SD card or you can do the subscription thing. There is a night function and you can set the range of the pan and tilt and set patterns to check.
It is a little more than some cameras, but it is by far the easiest I have used and the most versatile. Picture quality is really good with a wide field of vision before factoring the movement on top and all this makes it well worth the asking price.

What seems to be a nice camera turned out to be useless.
Doesn't track your pet properly loses it as it walks... What I purposely bought it for...
Doesn't connect to WiFi even though I turned 5hz off on the router,
even though there is a EUFY robot vac right at the side of it.. Connected to same network.
Even when I have 2 other Tapo cameras connected too...
Doesn't display 4k or even 2k WITHOUT the hombase kit , 1080p and 720p only.

Returned.

USB-B cable, not C, can be difficult to hardwire or find a longer cable
No native storage, requires an SD card (sold separately) or monthly cloud subscription through eufy
Requires a plug socket
Only 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support, no 4G or 5GHz, may not work with modern routers
Requires power and Wi-Fi 24/7 for operation, will not function in a power cut

A decent security camera for the home. For a business, maybe look elaewhere. Easy enough to set up, instructions are clear and concise. App requires a smartphone

I have the Eufy homebase and the Eufy security cameras so the Eufy indoor camera was a no brainer especially as I wanted it to use in my garage. The indoor camera does have a night mode so you are able to see your premises in the dark and in the dark the camera still detects movement.

Connecting the camera to the Eufy app took seconds and part of the set up allowed for me to connect the camera to the WIFI so it was able to interact with the app when I am at home or away.

The indoor camera does not link to the homebase, I would have thought there would have been an option to do so but as I have a homebase 2 I was unable to. I am unsure if it works with the homebase 3 as I cannot test that.

You can stick in a microSD card, I will be looking to do this so I have stored footage instead of having to look at live footage. The microSD card is in a hidden slot that is easy to find but un noticeable.

The picture quality is very good, very clear which is to be expected with the Eufy range, they are very good with their camera quality.
